Very interesting! Never seen actual footage of a casino scam or anyone cheating for real. Thanks a lot!

That's from an old special Ortiz was on, I forget the exact title but it was "(something) Unmasked!"

Darwin's demonstrations were great but apparently all of that "surveillance" footage was completely staged. There are loads of inconsistencies.

The problem with casino surveillance footage is that it only shows you the cheats who got caught.

Where could you get a holdout like that? couldn't be that expensive? Or I guess Pretty easy to make yourself. My problem is that I am lazy but most of all, completely useless when it comes to building stuff.

You'd have to get it through a supplier of this stuff, aka an "underground" source.

There are a gillion ways to make an impromptu one. Fold a piece of card board paper, clip it together with a paper clip and then put a rubber band along the inside of the crease, and rap it around your arm under the sleeve. Same thing.

Well, the resolution was bad but what I saw was a declared 5 card stud game and everybody had 2 cards, one up, one in the hole. It is apparently the 2nd round of betting since there is already a small pot building. Seat 1 mucks, Seat 2 checks(?) Seat 3 raises, Seat 4 folds, Seat 5 folds, Seat 2 calls the raise. Seat 3 then showed his two Aces which happened to be his only two cards. He gets the pot pushed to him. There should be another round of betting with heads up action between Seat 2 and 3.

Also, Darwin mucks an Ace while tossing his 4 cards away in an apparent 5 cards draw game. Unless he gets up and moves to a 5 card stud game, the secondary sequence doesn't make sense.
One time, when I was young, I botched a sleight so bad, Vernon, Marlo & Miller rolled over in their graves. But I didn't see Elmsley, probably because he was behind the others.

The roulette video footage seems quite real. I too would be curious to know what sounds false. Anyway, I'm still hoping to watch one day a real video footage of Richard Marcus and his crew doing some moves on the Roulette or Blackjack tables.

The roulette footage is most likely legit as that same clip has been used on other specials.

The main problem were the blackjack videos. I don't know much about video, but unless the image was flipped somehow, you can clearly see a left-handed dealer dealing from RIGHT TO LEFT with the discard rack on the LEFT.

The poker video is suspect also.

It all looks like a training exercise to me. Still I think it's based on real events.

Look at the camera angle on the roulette. If someone were sitting in the seat to the woman's right the layout would be blocked out. Casino cameras usually come from the ceiling, this one looks like it's from a high tripod. Theirs no time date stamp on the roulette shot also. If you ran a casino would you set up you roulette layout shot like this?

How come I only see one chair with a back at the poker table? Have you ever seen casino poker dealt from a stool with wheels, look at the dealers "chair".

Very true. The roulette footage looked the most authetnic out of all of them, but I'd always heard the surveillance clips were faked on this special.

When they are traning dealers they cheat the dealer to see if the dealer nails the move don't they. After they show the dealer what he or she missed and so on. That is what they look like to me.
