During a bill switch, the spectator's should NEVER lose site of the bill. Not even for a split second.

Not so sure those are new at all. Benji makes a great point as well, always keep the bill in plain site so to speak. that's what makes this or similar effects so magical.

Benji is absolutely correct on that. Anytime you do a bill switch the bill should always be in view, or the real magic of the effect is lost.

I believe that what is being said is that it should appear that the spectator should not be aware of the instant that he looses sight of the original bill, coin or other object. After all, that's the point of a switch.
