All I can say is it's an excellent dvd. Raymond Crowe surely knows the ins and outs of making a realistic floating ball. The mime techniques he goes over are a great help.
Now I am pursuit of a suitable zombie ball as well, not the typical metal ones you see in magic shops. If anyone has any luck or could help, please PM me. Thanks! Just my 2 cents.. Mack Magic

Hello Raymond Crowe here.
Thanks to all for your nice comments on my DVD, I really hope you find it worth while. Now as to the type of ball I used on the recording... If you have purchased the Naked Zombie Ball and need to know .. you may email me at info@raymondcrowe.com I'll ask you a question about the DVD.. if you reply correctly I'll let you know... please expect a couple of days delay as I am on the road a lot.. I hope this helps. Also thanks to Jeb Sherrill for the nice feed back. Jeb, Walt Anthony and many others had helped road test the DVD, their comments really helped polish it off. Happy Zombie Balls to all, Raymond Crowe.

This DVD is for taking the Floating Ball -and your Magic- up to the next level.
If you’re happy with your styrofoam ball and polyester foulard no need to go here. This work assumes you have, or are willing to invest in mime, acting, and theatre performance training (and all magicians should study these arts anyway). If you have this background, or are willing to drop your deck of cards and master these techniques, then you can perform miracles without a cloth or gimmick, and with Raymond’s help! This is not only a well produced DVD, it is entertaining as all heck, and an important contribution to all the Floating Ball literature available. You can see my review comments on his website, and I mean every word. That said, there is nothing worse than someone watching a DVD once and thinking they can perform an effect “out of the box” and do it well, even adding only a few of Crowe’s suggestions will take me a few solid months of rehearsal, practice, and performance efforts. No Floating Ball performance is a “piece of cake” there is going to be a steep learning curve whether you tackle the Okito Method, The Karson Method, or an Astro, or Barehanded Method, but the serious investment in time, energy, sweat, and tears is worth the expressions and sounds of awe when performed correctly before an audience. Hi,
I know this is an old post (almost a year old now), but I've been looking at various mime techniques and ideas for a new project and have found the Naked Zombie DVD to be a particularly useful starting point in the creation of magical illusion using mime. As well as this DVD I have also been looking into other mime sources and started a thread on it over in Clowning Around. At the moment it is essentially a list of various possible sources I've found, but one in particular that I think fellow Naked Zombiers will find beneficial is Mime Spoken Here by Tony Montanaro, available through Mime Theatre dot com. I bought the 2 disc DVD set plus the book. I've written a short review over in Clowning Around for those that are interested.

Richmond Shepherd's book is the best as it goes through exercises for the mime. It is difficult to find, you might want to try the library.
