Hello everyone I'm new to performing magic and illusion but I'm trying to learn, I have a character I created for performing were I dress almost like a cenobite from Hellraiser it is sort of a dark gothic mistress from Hell type of thing and I'm happy to have discovered your fantastic community. I am working on getting a website up and running and a promotional video of my act so I will be sure to post it here when it's all ready so I can get some feedback from professionals like yourselves again thanks!

Any tips for a beginner would be welcomed

"Mistress from Hell"-that has a ring to it! Search topics here that will save you hours, if not days, of research elsewhere. Gather all the info you need to develop your persona, then ruthlessly slash the list down to the pure character you want to present. Good luck!

Thanks Bradley, the dark side is rare in magic that's why I am focusing on that aspect besides the fact that I find it intensely interesting myself and it's what I would like to see more of... maybe I can corner the market lol I'll be sure to post my act as soon as I get someone to record my show so you can see it and I can get some feedback.

I almost forgot. You've probably read some threads at this area of the Café (The spooky, the mysterious...the bizarre!). If you haven't, go there and sit for a while. That's the place you want to start your journey.

That's awesome. I had a professional makeup school in Hollywood help dress me up as Pinhead one year for Halloween. Can't wait to see some your routines.
