Everyone has been so supportive about my Ballycast podcast.
Two or three of you have given me more ... they've (1) PM'ed me or emailed me proposing themselves as an interview subject, or (2) told others they should get in touch and offer themselves as victims of my usual relentless attack-dog interview technique (I'm so mean...), or (3) told me who else I simply must interview next. That's how I got my upcoming interviews with Travis Fessler and George the Giant, and you're going to love them! SO HERE'S THE CHALLENGE ... either post here, or send me a PM, or email me at bally@goodmagic.com and do one of the above. Do you perform? Do you know someone who does, or can you suggest someone you've always wanted to hear more about? Hey, I'm not PBS, I'm not going to stop twice a year and beg for money while I flood the program with concerts by has-been aging doo-wop groups and nubile Irish songstresses. (Insert joke here about nubile Irish songstresses). Though of course you could GO HERE and buy more of my stuff. But if you want to keep hearing Ballycast for free twice a month or so, I need victims to interview! I'm begging you, don't let the infamous "music segment" become 100% of the podcast! Don't make me read recipes start to finish! Don't make me phone Ward Hall and ask him the same questions he's heard (and answered) a million times! |

I really haven't posted much at all here but I love your podcast so much I couldn't help but chime in.
Red stewart has a lot of great stories you might like to hear, and I'd love to hear from the current performers at coney, but I think I'd most like to hear you do an episode with eek the geek. I've been really intruiged by the idea of the tattooed man becoming a lawyer. |

You've got to interview Jimmy Dixon. I saw him when I was a kid doing the Woman to Gorilla illusion, a levitation and linking rings at the Mid-South Fair. The Master of the mouse pitch, escape artist, and magician, he should have some great stories. http://www.jimmydixonproductions.com

In no partiular order (some are obvious choices, some are not and might even be more interesting....):
Todd Harley Bindlestiffs Red Meah Ward Frierson Higley Reynolds Doc. Wilson Glen Hester or Bruce Walstad Krista Price Blackmar Cridland Lucy Fire There was this guy named Ross Macrae (dead now--apparently another guy named Wayne killed him), who was a party magician who seems to have a facination with the sideshow for unknown reasons and he might be interesting to hear more about from beyond the grave.... (Although I would put Meah up at the top...and Glenn/Bruce would have an interesting persoective on the games rackets)

Some of the great folks from the Sideshow Gathering, who were so kind in sharing their stories with this FNG. Franco for starters. John Bradshaw, Bob who does the Sideshow Newsletter, Steve with his Spidora and his personal Palace of Wonders, Aye Jay the MC, just for starters. Yes I am horrible with remembering names.
And I did buy the combo pack to help support Ballycast, so include me in your "member supported programming" The CDs are great and I am happy that I could help the cause. Michael Professor Ackult http://www.simplyhomebrew.com/sideshow |

I apologize for my insincerity Wayne Have you tried talking to The Great Nippulini? I've heard a few of his war stories and would love to hear some more. With that said there are still a wealth of people on The Café alone that you could talk to.
