Rich Marrotta, on one of his DVD's, held of his hand and showed 6 fingers and it was hilarious/shocking to the audience. Is this the vernet "Sixth Finger"?

Yep it is.

It's a great secret prop and will often fool magicians when used for productions and vanishes if you streer their thinking towards a TT.

The 6th finger has many gag uses too though.

On one of the Ron MacMillan's international close up comp videos (I think the 4th one) I start my act by holding up a finger and asking a audience member how many fingers I'm holding up. They answer '1', and then I hold up all 5 fingers and each has a mini hand on the end and ask the same question again.

My own gag it got a really good laugh and was a good start for my act. (I got a merit award and came 2nd to Carlos Vaquera the following year)
