All I can say is, WOW! This look's fantastic, and completely fooled me. I can't wait to order mine! Can the hook-up be adapted to other thing's, or must it me a sword.
Thanks,
Ste

Thank you Stephen, I am glad you like it.
Yes, you can use other objects but the only thing to keep in mind it works the best if it’s a long item. I can see it working with a broom, walking stick, tree branch, candle stick and maybe a flag pole. Yeah, that may be cool a 3 to 4 foot flag pole with a small flag or streamer on it. Hummm.. How cool would it look if at the end of your routine the flag pole plants itself into the floor as the wind blows the flag?

Lance,

Firstly, congratulations on such a great effect! Just a couple (or three) quick questions if you don't mind? How costly would this be to build (approximately), what is the rigging time like, and how limited are you to the b*****op you can use?

Thanks

Mark

Mark, all good questions. The cost would be around $60.00 minus the ring/hoop. Did you know there is a VERY detailed shopping list that comes with the PDF so you can print it off and go shopping? This is very user friendly.
The rigging time was actually the selling point for me when I started creating this in the first place. I can do it ALL in 15 minutes. As for the b*****op it would be like any other flying effect out there. The brick wall in the video is part of my friend Sean’s warehouse and it worked great!!!!

Thanks,
Lance

Lance,

Thank you for letting us host this amazing product. Everything that has been said is right on the money.

Peter,

Agreed that this should have been priced higher. But as a PDF we had to make it fair to sell. But as a final product it can be priced higher.

Best,

I like a lot the method and its construction is not difficult at all.

Also, I think that it’s possible to give a <X, Y> movement (up and lateral) with a little “add” in the system.

I’m planning to build a small one, “puppet” size to see how it works.

Lance Richardson is the real deal when it comes to art & stage direction as well as illusion design. He has a keen eye for what works. If Ken Whitaker & Paul Haynes at Creative Illusions have trusted him and went to him to provide solutions, then you know you can trust him.

He was there at our side, when we, along with Sean Scott, were being filmed by Discovery Channel International for their Inside The Houdini Museum TV show. He has been a part of a great deal of our shows, from a design side and an artistic side. His illusion, The Web, is a great addition to any magicians arsenal and now his Sword Flight promises to be no less.

Hey All,

Just purchased the ebook and all I can say is WOW!!!

I purchased it last night and had everything made this afternoon.

I mocked everything up and put it into action... The ease of control and the flowing movement of the sword makes this a truly great effect. I can visualize so many possibilities and scenarios where this would just ROCK!!!

I can't believe that Lance put such a great effect on the market for only $25...Now everybody has access to it.

Great idea Lance. Thanks for releasing it.

I met Lance when he offered me the "Web" to add to my line. He's honest, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with.

Since we're reminiscing, I met Lance almost 20 years ago. He has been a friend, brother, colleague, co-worker, mentor and several other invaluable resources to myself. When I first met him he was showing me illusion designs that were ultra-practical and unique adaptations of classic illusions. He still has new stuff from that time yet to be seen. He has never (I mean absolutely never) been in a hurry to put something on the market, he doesn't settle. Sword Flight & The Web are really original pieces if you are familiar with them. He has another great effect coming out very soon.

This is very cool .. I think the video says it all. The e-book is very thorough and well written. The diagrams are easy to follow and construct the effect. Overall this is the future of magic and how it will be marketed to the next generation. I wish I had all these tools when I was younger.

I really like how fluid the movement of the sword is. The hoop pass is simple and effective. This is a bargain at twice the price ... Congratulations to all involved.

I could see it being incorporated into a paul stanley signature floating guitar utilizing the strap to make the hoop moves complete with the official chezaday guitar pick that gets thrown out at the end after the panties are hurdled to the stage...

Hi All,

I just wanted to update you on the Sword Flight project. As of today I have secured a builder for Sword Flight and judging by the pictures I have seen its going to surpass my expectations.

So before we get this up and running I have a few questions to ask. On a scale of 1 – 5 with 5 being the highest, how important are the following.

1. Offering a 100% complete unit with everything need?
2. Offering the ability to piece-meal parts like the hoop and silk?
3. Offering a variety of sword styles to choose from with an up charge?
4. Offering an ATA case for transport?
5. Offering an instructional DVD?

Thanks in advance for your help.

What price point?? For a lot I want it all. For a low price point I would take a kit and DVD.

Love the E-book.
