I have had an issue with someone picking up the card. So I tell them this is a recreation on the gambling hustle and the punters aren't allowed to touch the cards. Just to place their bet in front of the selected card (if we were playing for money). I also keep the cards close so I can intercept any sneaky people. But If I even get a hint that they will find out the gaffs, I'll just do a regular 3 card monte or color monte. In my expirience though, this trick will absolutely kill the audience. Just don't do Bill Malone's handeling. Find your own story to tell. Hope this helps!

Giving you the benefit of the doubt, what is it specifically about his character, timing and build up that you think allows him to get away with it?

I think it's because everything bill does is entertaining.
it's kind of an instinct thing. But I'm 95% sure that that's the way Bill would do it in real life. why don't you ask him? he's replied to my emails before so I'm sure he would to you. |

Question 1. Make your own. Don't know if you can get them in jumbo size. Do you have a jumbo thumb?
Question 2. With extreme prudence. I.E. Spectator Management. Think of it this way. If a spec has a card face down on the palm of each hand, how does she turn it over? Scott
