Ringo played some drums on this and several other tracks on the album. While George was on many of the songs (most noted, the anti-Paul "How Do You Sleep") I don't think George was on Imagine. If he is, he is hidden way under Phil "Lady Killer" Spector's strings.

I've changed my mind. My favorite Beatles song is "In My Life."

New favorite Beatles song, Her Majesty. Could be Paul Maca's single greatest work.

It's a pretty nice song but it doesn't have a lot to say

Shoot me if you'd like, but I personally think the Beatles are sort of overrated. A lot of their songs are very simplistic and have no real meaning.

Nope - not going to dispute your tastes there Michael - some of us like the songs as a sort of bridge between folk music and rock - also like the harmonies and playfulness of the lyrics.

Don't get me wrong, I do like them and their music... however I feel a bit as though some people who claim to love the music are just trying to fit in with the crowd.

Mm I happen to agree and was absolutely nauseated by those who went public about their long love of that music when John Lennon was no longer around to appreciate it - or George Harrison _ this would be older folks who missed the boat while it sailed and are into "nostalgia". These would be the same folks are are all into W. A. Mozart yet clueless about Beethoven and may even believe Salieri was like in the movie. Cringe.

Yes, I'm constantly pleasantly surprised by that.

The Beatles are way over rated.......they should have went down the Swedish death metal route, instead of bubble gum rock. AHHHH!

As for them being overrated, I would love to hear the bands that anyone who feels that way is basing that on. I understand everyone has their likes & dislikes, but saying the Beatles are overrated?

I do not think that the Beatles music is overrated, but I do think that their music is dated, and it is time for us to move on.

I cannot disagree more (well I probably could but you know...). When you get tired of all of the same old manufactured pop cr@p that is forced on all the airwaves and you put on a Beatles cd, it's just so good, honest and and relevant as ever. They had plenty of talent and a depth beyond their years. To me, they are still very far from being dated.
But hey, that's just my opinion.

I mentioned my favorite earlier but another one I really enjoy presently is "Don't Let Me Down"
