They are the best. They're pricey, but this is an investment you will not regret.

As of last week Denny had some in stock.

9 Sets of White Billiard Balls
2 Sets of Orange Balls
1 Set of Magenta (Violet) Balls
1 Set of Blue Balls

I suggest you call or e-mail him ASAP, since these tend to go fast.

Yes, they come in different sizes.

If you can learn to handle the larger, 2" diameter balls it will be worth it. They show up from far away .

The Golf Ball style are nice. Golf balls are a "real" object that many in the audience are familiar with.

Thanks Dai,

For all the precious information about Fakini balls I have been looking for them for ages....

Why this is multiplying ball so difficult to get?

Is it handcrafted or limit edition...?

Once again thanks Den for the information.

They are very hard to come by because they take a lot of time and effort to make. Each ball is trimmed (the seam) by Mr. Fakini himself. He used to make the balls with his wife, and they were a little easier to come by. But since his wife sadly passed away, he isn't making as much now.

They are also the best set of multiplying balls around!

Ditto to what The Scot posted.

The 2" Fakini balls ( the white ones are best in my opinion) are a thing of beauty. He makes them up in limited editions and they always sell out fast.

I must add something about the Golf Balls :

I have the Fakini Golf Balls and they are super.
I will continue to use them .

However, just today I was in a magic shop and had the opportunity to look at a set of Empire Magic's Multiplying Golf Balls. These are the yellow golf balls , with a good looking plastic gimmick . Remind me of the old Ireland Multiplying Golf Balls .
They handle beautifully. Much less expensive than the Fakini Multiplying Golf Balls . (Fakini Golf Balls are white, not yellow, but you could spray paint the Empire balls)

If you want to do Multiplying Billiard Balls get the Fakini 2" white balls (and have a look at the Alan Wakeling routine published in the book "The Magic of Alan Wakeling" , a very worthy book , not the least for the excellent ball routine) .

However, if the Multiplying Golf Balls are your thing then get the Empire Magic Multiplying Golf Balls .
(about $9.00 ) You can paint "it" white and get replacement balls from sports supply stores (practice driving balls, soft foam rubber , about 4.00 for a package of 4 ) .

I have a set of the Fakini billiard balls and the Fakini diminishing ball. They are of the utmost quality and are very hard to get. I bought mine from Denny and Lee's and have some on back order now. I believe Stevens Magic also carries them but I don't know that for sure. The Fakini billiard balls have a VERY good feel in your hands. I use the 1 3/4" balls as my hands are a little smaller than most. If you want to do mulitplying balls Fakini is definately want you want. Smile

I have 4 sets, 2 white and 2 hot pink.

I use the 1 3/4" balls also because I am 14 and my hands are not big enough to handle the 2" balls.

Thanks,

eddiekap,

If you're purchasing a single set, I'd recommend buying white...the balls show off well against most backgrounds.

Which dealer has the whole range of these balls?

I am an Asian. And I think I have small hands, probably go for the 1 or the 1 3/4 size...

I was leaning more towards white, I am wearing black so they would show up nicely.

Symmatrix, I think Denny and Lee's Magic Studio have a good selection as mentioned in an above post. Go to http://www.dennymagic.com

I am led to believe http://www.stevensmagic.com
gets a supply of Fakini products every now and then.

If not, email Denny (of Denny and Lee - email on his website http://www.dennymagic.com
and he will arrange a set to be held behind when the next order arrives.

But keep in mind, if he just got his order delivered recently, it may be several months before the next delivery comes in.

Good things take time to make... and aren't necessarily cheap.

Hope this helps,
Yours magically,

Unfortunatly not!

I didn't actually pay the shipping costs, instead a friend of mine got them shipped to him, then he shipped them to me for a much cheaper price than the shop quoted.

If you want them that bad, you will just have to pay the charges. (You won't be disappointed!)

Smile

Sorry to break the bad news to you,

The Empire Golf Balls are smaller than the Fakini Golf Balls. I would only use the Empire balls for a small audience.

Symmatrix, you might want to get 1 3/4" the 1" is pretty small, but it does depend on the size of your hand. Denny has small hands himself and you should see his handling. You might want to e-mail him. Smile
