An embryonic planet detected outside our Solar System could be less than 2,000 years old, astronomers say. If this is proven correct it will radically change how solar system formation is conceived...

Isn't science fun!

It won't radically change how science hypothesis's planet formation. It just gives them another methodology as to how they could form. Not every solar system has a rouge star passing through it to trigger planet creation.

Interesting stuff though

Wow,

This stuff really amazes me. I just took my 8 year old daughter to her first planetarium show, and we saw some of this on the big dome. My grandafther used to do this for me when I was that age. I think she is as hooked as I was back then. This stuff is all fascinating.

Rock on..er... planet on!

Update -"Oops! It was just a passing cloud!" Still though, even when a theory is disproven it adds to the body of knowledge, right?

How about "Bob." Bob's a good name for a planet.

I thought they traditionally did named planets after mythological beings...

See if you can find a copy of "Titan AE."

After awhile, you just get someone who likes the name "Bob."
