Safest way for these is to tether to your transport and drop them down to their last hole if you leave them up overnight.
On the UK version the instructions with them state they are only useable up to 30mile per hr winds,,,its the gusts that do the most damage though. For the fine weather weekend worker they are great, so most of the season is ok to work them,,,also checking the forecast would determine what unit we would erect. On Dougs howto are the details of a setup useing your vehical,,,this is not only very quick and easy to set but very sturdy as well. Used this method off of the back of a 4X4 Brava for doing one day spots midweek venues. Of course whatever setup you use it all has a minimal set and break time so whatever the weather you can always save your flash signs and Zibbs. Ken |

I was just reading on the Brockton Fair site that they do not allow any EZ-ups or vehicles on the midway.

The ones that are prepped in that way for the night are usually still there in the morning. It is the ones that aren't that go sailing. Usually into someone else's equipment, causing far more damage than the measly $75 purchase price. I once saw the owner of a very expensive (maybe $300K?) floss wagon surveying the broken running lights and scratched artwork on his unit caused by a tumbleweed with tears in his eyes and murder in his heart. He was at a fair he had waited a long time to get into. He had made an extra effort to make his stuff appear top notch. Now it was defaced because somebody didn't care enough to secure their junk. |
