Hi
I'm from abroad and will be visiting Toronto starting Saturday for a few days. I'd like to go to a magic shop and maybe buy a few items, but I am not sure what the 'best one' might be. I would prefer a place where I can browse (esepcially books) and where they have not only the newest books, DVDs, close-up items but also some oldies (and why not rarities ?) - maybe a bit like the old Hank Lee shop in Boston or like Tannen's used to be. Could someone give me a recommendation ? Best regards Daniel |

Both places are very good. At Browsers, every Saturday, all day, there are people sharing magic at the card table.

The Den and Morrissey's are both great to deal with in their own unique ways.
I believe Morrissey's is the largest brick and mortar magic store in the world. Eric |

Morrissey's is FAR better.

When I'm in TO I like to visit the Browser's Den.

I live and work in GTA, and has been both. You may find the price and the stuff they carry slightly different, but both are pretty good. Since I am driving, I personally prefer to go to Morrissey more JUST because the parking is free, where the Den is more convenient to public-commuters since there is a parking fee for the plaza where the Den is at, unless you get a stamp from a shop then you can get half hour free.
But since they are geographically close to each other, about 1 to 2 blocks away, you can visit both pretty easily. Which I did a lot just for fun. |

Browsers Rocks... I used to go to Morrisseys until one day I brought some friends and I asked the son to demo a trick and he flipped out on me for no reason... then we went to browsers and blew 300 bucks each on pretty much packet tricks...
