Would you be intrested in a DVD that is a sit down interview with the real deal (retired)?
There would no card moves or any of that stuff. Strictly stories and experiences. Would you be intrested? And if so, what kinds of things would you like to know or hear about? I expect the usual amount of smart alecy remarks and I welcome them. But serious replies would be greatly appreciated. This is a project that will very likely be put together this summer if there seems to be interest. It would be a niche product aimed at the kind of people with an interest in this type of thing, like you guys.

I would certainly be interested in a person in the know talking for hours about his experiences, his mistakes, giving advice and tips.

As long as he was for real, I'd buy it Vandy.
If you're saying he's got the goods, that's good enough! |

I think it would be a very good idea to have such a thing available! I would certainly be interested in hearing from someone like that. I say go for it!

Hey Vandy, that is a definite yes! Sounds awesome, as long as it would be the real deal.

Vandy I think that would be an excellent idea. The readers would be hearing things from a different perspective confirming a lot of the things that we all say time and time again.

Are you saying you mean to put together a video of an actual gambler with real world experience telling of those experiences and the way it goes down for real?
Of what value would that be here in fantasy land? Put me down for an excited yes.

I recently bought a "Vernon" DVD which contained a lot of effects, but also a lot of insight into a life of magic. I would rate it the best magic purchase I have ever made, and immediately ordered the rest of the set.
Now, I am not a young guy anymore so pehaps it's just my generation, but I love to hear the real-deal stories and experienced opinions and insight. I think this sounds like a great project, and I hope you go through with it. GOOD LUCK! Jim

There may not be any card moves, but there is so much more to it than that. Would love to have a sitdown with an old timer telling stories, and a DVD of that would be great as well.

Thanks guys.
There will almost certainly be no "teaching" of any type on this DVD. I mean, your bound to learn something or other listening to this man talk and cut up some jackpots. But it's definatley not about "gaming protection". It would be as I said above, just a sitdown talk with a very intresting person. This is not MY project, this is really Don Drivers project. Hopefully I will be along for the shoot but I'm not sure yet. You don't have to trust me. Anyone who knows Don, and his history in Vegas, and the people he knows, will have no doubt that this man knows what he's talking about.

You are so right Vandy. Don is someone that we all could learn from as well! I have known Don since the mid 70's I believe maybe early 70's but am not sure.
I'm glad to hear Don will be involved in doing this. I would give My right arm to be in on the shoot too! I wish it were to happen in Vegas! Randy |

Hi Guys,
Vandy, you better make the shoot,Doc is wanting to met you. Hi Randy, You know who this is.Doc John AKA John Deems.Doc hung out with Michael Skinner and myself in Vegas. He even worked the Jam auction with me for a while. Guys Doc has done it all.He started in the 60's.He has been a mechanic on both sides of the table.( yes casinos use mechanics to get their money back)Doc worked for the Japanese mob in Hawaii,Guam and Japan as a mechanic. He lead the life for years.Doc promised me he won't hold back anything and is going to tell it all. This could turn out to be a 4 hour DVD set before its over.( once Doc gets started its hard to stop him) I promise no one will be bored watching Doc tell his stories. Look for it sometime in the fall. Thanks guys, Don |
