"Sonata" seems to be out of print now.

I have sonata, the magic way and the 5 points in magic.
all are good (that was expected)
just try to get whatever book you can put your hand on.
although Sonata has a lot of material (mainly cards) of varying difficulty I would recommend to start with the 5 points in magic.
I also bought some of Tamariz's books in spanish, and although I am not a speaker of the language once you start to read you will see you get the general idea. most of the terminology repeats itself and for the harder words I use a dictionary.
I am still waiting for his memorized deck book in English - I have no idea if that is a rumor or not but it was supposed to be out last summer.

All the Tamariz books in English and in Spanish are out of print besides Sinfonia which is the 2 volume book about his memorized deck, only available in Spanish.

The English version will be out this year.
