Magic3 that was beautiful! The only clip I had seen of you guys before was when you were on one of the WGM specials. I think you did Modern Art? I didn't care for that performance so much because of the choppy editing. I know that sort of thing is usally out of your control. It's so cool to see how you guys have grown. Best of luck in the future. (No pun intended.)

Different magicians/illusionist have used the time travel idea so it's not new.
I've also seen it used in a spirit seance type presentation. (empty box, spirits make wachtes going back, burned candles turn into new ones etc.- in this version the girl stays hidden) Wayne Dobson's also has a version of this effect - see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDlJcfBaXFo Ps: I don't think 'magic3' is a member of 'magic unlimited' since he lives in the UK and Oscar, Renzo & Mara live in Holland (and Spain) |

Same concept is illustrated in Andrew Mayne's "Illusionbook" with two different takes.

Franz Harary attempted to do a Time Machine routine. It was straight up confusing. He is a big science guy and the routine was heavy. He thankfully stopped after testing it a few times.
The prop he used (which was orginally built for an appearance at a corporate gig) was the best part routine. It looked like a time machine from the movies....not just a square box with a clock on it like in the video above. One part of routine the hands on the clock move by themselves "magically", next they have to be moved by manually? |

I am not a fan of magic unlimited, but I did however really like this illusion, the only down fall was what Erich pointed out one minute the hands move by themselves and the next time they are moved manually? I hope that was just because of a malfunction and they covered it up.

Erich just think about how the hands move if you have any concept of illusions!!!! its not possible any other way with this build at least but its not hugely important I mean that not the most important part.

Glad to see that I wasn't the only one who noticed it didn't make a lot of sense for the hands to move magically one time and manually the others.

But hey, rock on, do what you want. It only my opinion. You say its not possible for the hands to move by themselves any other way huh? Okay, I guess relay switches, timers, remote controls, etc aren't an option. Dead topic to me. Its not important to you, and I could care less...lets hope its not important to the audience. Have fun giggin. |

This is a nice illustration of a very old concept. Annemann had an idea that expressed this in a mentalist context. So did Punx, in his Interrupted Dream.
The props were smaller and simpler, though. This is a very nice, allegorical illusion.

I just want to point out the illusion design is basically taking it's form from Nathan Burton's original illusion. I also want to point out these folks aren't the most original ... in fact the woman, Mara can be seen doing Chris Hart's act without his permission: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umEH1J8Vbdg
Guys I realize it's hard to know everything but a little research goes a long way in the world of magic. Don't praise people like this who prey on those that do the thinking ....
