The beauty of modern Japanese magic lies in the inventiveness of the creators. Ingenious methods are born and forgotten principles are unearthed and re-examined, offering a fresh and innovative approach to the art of magic. The performers who contributed their time and talents to this video share a deep passion for Japanese magic and the creators whose works stand as a testament to magic's ability to cross the boundaries of culture and provide astonishment to a universal landscape. We hope that after watching our demonstrations you, too, will develop a new admiration for the magicians of Japan.

I must extend my gratitude to the participants who spent their time to practice and refine their effects to near perfection. Without their sincere dedication and enthusiasm, this video would never be possible.

Beautiful. The magic was strong, and the song underneath all of the performances added a strong emotional component.

Thanks for sharing it with us!

I like the way magic of Japan is done in the living room with no spectators only for a camera, just like American magic.

Good job Charles, the effort and coordination in putting the performers' videos together must have been tough.

Looking forward to more videos from you.

Cheers
Alvin

Does any one know how old the coin box routine is, or when it was first published?

Thank you in advance, for doing my research.
Our friends don't have to agree with me about everything and some that I hold very dear don't have to agree about anything, except where we are going to meet them for dinner.

Greeting! I am Aloysius Adrian from Indonesia, I am one of the contributors of the video, and I would like to say thanks to all of you who has commented here, and also my big thanks to all of the other contributors especially Charles Hsu who had been the originator of this project, and also the project leader.

Please allow me to post what I did and felt during and throughout the project. First of all, this project was so much fun, and TIRING! Smile I was first asked to take part in this video project around last June (2007) and I had been starting to shoot the "Band On The Run" video.

At first, my video had great criticism from Charles. Many parts of the routine were not near as good. I did reshoot and sent again my video to Charles (we worked through internet, which made this project took a long time). Then Charles gave me other critics. I, then, shot again and fixed the part which was still not so good.I did this again and again. We worked some part of the routine to gave other variations.
It took a lot of effort to make a "good - looking" video like you all can watch now. I shot and reshot like around 150 times I shot and reshot like around 150 times. But hey, at least I have a solid routine under my belt for the rest of my life!

Lastly, I am very proud to be one of the performer in this "Magic of Japan" video
And my last thanks to Mr.Hiroyuki Sakai for this excellent routine.

Thanks!

I too am one of the performers on the video "MAGIC OF JAPAN" and it was truly an honor to work with all of them.
The OKITO BOX routine I did belongs to Mr. Futagawa and can be found on his video tape.
As did Aloysius, I shot my video at least 50 times. Everything had to be just right. It is one thing to fool a table of people but to fool a camera..
That is another thing all together

Charles did a great job directing us and, although, at times I got incredible frustrated, it was all worth it!!!!

Everyone did a great job and I hope to hear more comments in the future...

THANKS!!!
Shaun
