I really can't pick a favorite. So top 5 shall have to do.

In no particular order (it changes constantly)

1) Bill Malone - Entertaining, and he lets you in on his thought processes. I like the tips he gives and he's probably the most entertaining magician, methinks.

2) Sankey's Secret Files. I just like the feel of it. And Jay has a real attention to detail. He doesn't just show you methods. He offers real insight as to WHY you can get away with something. And he's such a goof.

3) Daryl's Encyclopedia of Card Sleights. Perhaps MORE info than I ever need.

4) Regal's DVDs. Like Sankey, Dave really lets you glimpse how he constructs a routine, the psychology, etc. of his effects.

5) 45 by Jay Sankey. I suffer from clinical depression, and sometimes just WATCHING this DVD, with the soundtrack and all, puts me in a happy place.

David Roth's Expert Coin Magic Made Easy...series: Got me into magic SERIOUSLY after I left active duty.

Off the Cuff and On The Spot - Greg Wilson
VERY powerful stuff you can do almost anywhere.

Paul Green's In The Trenches - serious "work" demo'd here.

Daryl - Full Monte - fun!

Reed McClintock - McClintock Twist and Ivory Connection are both GREAT effects which I love to do.

I too could go on - and just looking at my video library am astounded at how much really cool stuff I have built up... I thought my wallet felt lighter!

Have fun!

From "The Very best of Jay Sankey", Bill Malone's "On the loose" and Greg's "On the Spot", I will choose "Bill's series. Though, I think all of them should be in your shelf.

best,

I can't believe I forgot to mention Whit Haydn's 4 ring routine video. It's a wonderful routine if you like the linking rings!

I really like Doc Eason's Bar Magic vol 3. I found the stuff to be really useable and not too hard to do.

2) Malone's On The Loose set
3) Paul Green's In The Trenches
4) Daryl's EOCS set
5) Roth's UCMC set

Chalk up another vote for Bill Malone! All 4 of his DVDs are highly entertaining and are definitely on the "must have" list. If you don't have it, you're missing out on some amazing performances!

The Regal tapes are my favorite tapes of all, but I'll likely be selling the complete set soon.

I would have to say The Very Best Of Jay Sankey series. There is more stuff in these DVD's that I actually USE than any other video's or DVD's that I can think of. Second on my list would be Dan Garrett's Close-Up Connivery video. More magic that is just plain useable and not what you find on every other video.

Gregory Wilson's Card Stunts.

He should have never released it.

For it has to be Bill Malone and secondly Daryl's Fooler Doolers. Then all the McBride and Sankey tapes.

The library isn't very large and for pure instruction I would be tempted to list many of the Ammar tapes. However, for consideration beyond mechanics I will go with...

Workers - The Video 100 Minutes with Michael Close.

Thoughtful. Inspiring. Magical.

I love On the Spot. Very entertaining to watch. Michael Ammar's Card Miracles are also my favorites. Lots of good things in them. Daryl's Full Monte is great too! Great details and great ideas.

I guess it would be a tough choice between the Very Best of Jay Sankey and Bill Malone's On the Loose series. Both are entertaining and have the effects that kill.
