I just came across Bill Nelson's relatively new site.
http://www.billnelsonstudios.com/ It also seems he has written some remarkable classes on sculpting and creating vent figures. I'm a huge fan of Bill Nelson's illustrations/figures and he also sculpted the "Eddie Garland" figure...who is currently appearing in Jamie Grant's "Anything is Possible".

Bill does incredible work. I own two figures that he refinished. Highly recommend his work.

I commissioned an original figure from Bill, which will be ready this week!! Am I crazy excited? Oh, yes! More when he arrives.

His painting technique is one of the best in the industry! I believe any figure by any maker will increase its value if the paint job is Bill Nelson's.

Yup...he's mad. Everyday he wakes up hoping it's the end of the world. He eats, drinks and smokes like there is no tomorrow...his only rest is a few hours of sleep then he's at it again.
He's an understudy...wil try him out in a few more gigs and see if he's a keeper. Thanks

Sold the figure... I can't afford it
The figure looks really funny...it's the type of figure you bring out and the people will start laughing just by staring at him, too bad I never had the chance to try it out. I opted not to try using it in a gig, I know it will kill and it will be more difficult to part with it. The craftsmanship is beyond words...I may regret this in the future
