Hi from Brooklyn, I am *mumblesmumbles* years old, and have been interested in magic since I was 12 or 13... I have done a lot of reading on magic, but have only taken study and performance of it seriously, in the last 7 years. I have been performing as an amature mostly concentrating on Card and Coin magic. Of late I have been looking into Rope magic, and find my interests expanding. Although mostly it's in the " Close up, sleight-of-hand" area of magic. While Stage etc also appeal to me, I do not see myself on stage. I am also looking into a professional career in magic. I know I need more material, and I need to bone up on my skills, but it's a worthy dream
I hope to learn a lot while here, and hope to share what I know

I have to say I have spent a lot of time just reading the posts in the different threads... I can see I will be learning a LOT here. I love the layout, How you have all the different branches divided and subdivided. It really helps to find what you are looking for

Welcome. You're in the neighborhood for Monday Magic in Manhattan. You're sure to see some quality acts there and maybe strike up a friendship with some of them as well. As you progress and learn, please give back to the art by mentoring a young girl who would love to perform. There are no schools for magic, yet young girls across the country could use some helpful performer who are willing to share and nuture.
Best of luck KW
