This may sound a bit funny; however, I know I've come to the right section for that!
I've noticed the quality and appearance of the various rubber chickens have gone down over the past few years. Where can I find a quality-made rubber chicken that is vibrant in color and will hold up to being used performance after performance without signs of wear and tear? -Bryan Gilles |

This may sound crazy, but have you considered asking the fellows in the Clown section of the Café?
When I was doing clowning, we used this prop a lot. So my guess is that these guys would be your best bet if you want to find an expert.

Check pet supply stores among the dog chew toys. I have used the same rubber chicken for several years now. The RC looks great and is made to last. Mine also makes a funny loud “honking” sound.
Also, for those who may not be aware you can also find some of the best hand squeakers at these same supply stores. You can get a package of five or six at a reasonable price. They are sold to replace the squeakers in pet toys. Good Luck! Kevin |

And if you do a Google search you will find a TON of great rubber chicken gags!
I personally have a small, but detailed rubber chicken attached to my key ring. When I was doing clowning, it made me feel "official", and I haven't removed it since. Probably never will. Rubber chickens rule! Long live the plucked rubber chicken! Can I get an amen?

I've used the same rubber chicken for 20 years. I keep it in a plastic bag with some talcum powder - keeps the latex soft. I fear the day it finally gives out as I've not been able to find another of similar quality.
