VW, there are some creator owned sites that include the price of world-wide shipping in the price (usually for DVDs) such as Kozmomagic.com, but I haven't found any on-line general magic stores that do free international shipping. The best thing to do is look for low cost goods and inquire about the shipping. Most sites will give you the shipping price of your order in the ordering process, so you can do comparison shopping.

Of course there are also e-books or instant downloads -- since shipping across the Internet is free.

Good luck,
Bill

Does anyone know of any online magic shops in South Africa. I have found http://www.magicshop.co.za - but they don't have that much stuff? If there are any SA magicians out there your input will help. Being in SA means currency conversion. Eg. $3000 is equal to R 7500 for a monthly salary. I recently spent $300 on tricks, which is 10% of the "salary", but in SA, R 750 (10%) can't get you a fraction of the stuff that $300 does. I would have to spend aproximate 36% of the R 7500 to get the same amount. PLUS, there are foreign shipping cost, insurance (cause things do go missing) and not to mention inport tax! All in all, I would really like to have an SA site that sells more than the one I mentioned. We don't even have magic shops you can physically visit....so far I spent about R 6000.00 and that is not the same "value" as $550!! Well, It's 2 and a half times more than my rent!

My suggestion would be to partner with a few other magicians in your area and put together a bulk order. That way the shipping fees are spread out more and end up being less.

Shipping fees are difficult when shipping outside the US - especially now that fuel is very costly.

The US Postal Service has flat rate shipping boxes - where for one flat fee, you can ship anything that fits in the box.

Many magic dealers in the US face this tough situation.

My store "The Magic Place", http://magicplace.us is a great place to buy magic with free shipping in the US with orders over $25.00. We have great sales (one going on right now) and returning members get a 5% discount. Give us a chance and we can prove that you will love our prices and our customer service. We currently do not ship outside the US but are looking for a shipping deal so we can do that in the future. Oh yeah and on a personal note, I know "Dave" very well and he is a great guy (oh wait that's me ;-) )

For those in the Vancouver, Washington area send me an email and we can talk about how I can serve your needs locally.

Why don't you just come out and say that this is your own website instead of pretending you're a customer? I'm less than likely to visit an online shop that's been promoted through fake reviews.

My votes for best online shop (with service to Canada)would be:
The Magic WareHouse
MJM Magic
and Penguin

and Ebay of course has some amazing deals (and hard to find stuff)

Fast shipping, fast reply/good customer service, everything is just fast, price is reasonable, highly recommend and they ship on the same day you order, their shipping fees is reasonable. one of the best online magic shop.

http://www.madhattermagicshop.com
Used to be good but have stop buying from them. This is why
1.They never response to my questions/email.
2.Price is cheap but their Shipping rate gone up very super high compare to others
3.Ship very late, and can even tell you your product requested is not in stock after 2 weeks after you placed your order.
4.Their free with $350.00 order is ridiculous. used to be $50 and below.
5.They suck.(just giving my opinion)

http://www.PenguinMagic.com
Good customer service, good shipping rate, price is reasonable, very good in promotion, but noticed their product which is out of stock, they will never be in stock even after few years.

Ya I know this is not a real online magic shop, but he do sell magic. Very good in replying every question you ask and he even call/remember your name in every email, his price is cheap, but his shipping fees is super super cheap $3 to everywhere in the world, received my orders in a week btw I'm from Asia. Highly recommend.

Well I can't say that I've ever been criticized before for giving away FREE merchandise. The FREE item we are giving away this week with the $350 order is "LIT w/ CARDS", notice it's not Magic Maker's promo crap. It's a nice item and I'm sure it offsets the shipping costs you refer to. Shipping costs have increased, it costs us more to ship. We have no control over that and our pricing structure is not set up to subsidize shipping. Our prices are very competitive.
We take our customer service very seriously. I am sending you a $35 gift certificate because of this.

Dennymagic.com. I can't think of any dealer who has sooooooo much on hand; so knowledgeable, and a place where you can just drop by and have a good cup of coffee.

What is the best online store to buy card magic dvds and tricks?

At the moment I've only shopped at themagicwarehouse and their efficiency is unbeatable. They actually ship by the hour. In addition, shipping charges is the lowest I found so far for international shipping. And they also have a wide selection.

I can't be bothered to shop at other places now. Smile

Barry's magic shop has started improving their web site.

http://www.barrysmagicshop.com

My favorites:
-Penguin (if you know what you need) Instant Downloads scattered within products annoying though..
- Magic Warehouse (has used DVD's!)
- Trickery (Excellent Customer service/advice/assistance)
- Sankey Magic (vast improvements to his site! and great newsletter)
- Magic 4 less (very low prices/shipping, and unique items from time to time)

My favorite is http://www.shopmagicvault.com

The prices are really good and the people running it were very helpful to me. When I started in magic, I was falling victim to the "buy anything you see" syndrome. MagicVault actually told me not to buy many things and to step back and work with some of the classic books such as Tarbell and Silly Billy's book and DVD. When they saw me going hog wild in every direction, we started talking more and instead of them just selling me the trick of the week, they helped steer me in a better direction. Sure, they didn't end up selling me a boatload at first by doing so, but I will say I am a customer for life now as a result!

My second favorite "magic shop" is thinkgeek.com haha its funny how many things you can find there

Best in the business, Denny only carries quality items. No knock offs, no imitations. Outstanding selection of books.

Denny has done an amazing amount in the field of magic and knows the business. Can't imagine a better shop.

Denny answers the phone himself most of the time. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of magic.

I wouldn't suggest calling with a bunch of nonsense

Better yet, get off the net and go in person.

I also know Barry's and Magic Warehouse and they are ok
