I know there are several threads comparing these courses. I am just curious as to why so many successful magicians have great reviews on the millionaire magician site recommeding the book and on the Café there are so many negative remarks?
Why would people like Joel Bauer, Bob Cassidy, Brian Gillis, Danny Archer, Bannachek, Gary Darwin, Rudy Coby, etc . . . give such great reviews? Are they getting something in return? I am just curious as I am going to purchase one of these two courses and noticed the reviews here aren't that good for millionaire magician book. Thanks for your help, Jonathan Dupree |

Yes, I believe they did receive something in return!
For a start, I beleive that they got the e-book for free! For another thing, I beleive that they got to become some of the first affiliates to promote the product and make some dollars in the process. You can read all about this in Mr Charach's 'Niche Magic' ebook! IMHO...buy the 'Success In Magic' and don't buy 'Millionaire Magician'. Hope this helps Martin |

I've had Jim Snack's "Success In Magic" course for a few years now, and it is AWESOME. Not only that, Jim is awesome, and has excellent service way above and beyond. His course is excellent, and will teach you how to get started running a magic business, if you apply what he teaches. I don't have Millionaire Magician, so I can't comment on that, but I am fully confident that you'll be very satisfied with the Success In Magic course. -Jeff

Hi Jonathan -
Here's a great idea. Get a sneak peak at the quality of information that Jim Snack (Success in Magic) offers, by using the search function here at the Café, and searching for posts he's made. He has written lots of great content right here on The Magic Café. He's truly a giver, and a very kind gentleman! Search for posts by username "Jim Snack" (without the quotes). - Donald

I don't have Mr Snack's 'Success in Magic' course so I can't compare them or review Mr Snack's course...(but I would be very happy to post a review Mr Snack, if you want to send me a copy for free...toungue planted very firmly in cheek)
However I do have Mr Charach's 'Millionaire Magician' course, and IMHO it was a waste of my very hard earned money. I didn't have any other ourse to compare it to until two years later when I bought Dave Dee's course, and his course just blew Mr Charach's course completely out of the water! |

Jim Snack's course makes Dave Dee look like a child's pre school. Success in Magic is easy to read and gives very valuable information that you can start to work RIGHT NOW! You don't have to rewrite 5 page sales letters and mail out 2 or 3 thousand at a time to get 2 shows. Jim teaches what works and how to plan your business with success in mind. If you follow Jim's program there is no way you cannot be successful.

I might be too late in saying this, Jonathan, but before you make a purchase from Randy Charach (if you are considering it at all), please read my PM to you.

I wanted to get a good course on marketing and took a look at several out there. After looking at Success-in-Magic and The Millionaire Magician. The Millionaire Magician was around $70.00 and Success-in-Magic was $99 to around $200 depending on the package you went with. Out of these two courses, Jim's looked the best and I will order it to have a detailed course specific to magic.
I decided to go a different route and put together material I felt would help me right now where I am at in my career. I invested about $150.00 and put together a custom package to help me market my magic to a target market instead of buying one of the magic courses. Here's what I got. I ordered Don Alan's Trade Show dvd and Carl Andrew's "How To Make A Living Performing Close-Up Magic" dvd. There is a lot of great information on both dvd's concerning working in corporate settings as well as loaded with great, commercial material. I also ordered Seth Kramer's book, The Trade Show Handbook. And I picked up a copy of the book, Where's Your Wow, 16 Ways To Make Your Competitors Wish They Were You! I also bought one more book, Get Clients Now. A complete course on generating new leads and referrals. I think by spending the time to really think through who my target market is, and by putting together material that will help me attract more of the customers in my target market, really helped me begin to brand myself. I will let you know what is coming of my branding process. I have already created my vision of where I want to be a year from now, and am now in the process of shaping my vision, or putting the action steps behind the vision so it becomes a reality. The material above is what I chose to help me shape that vision. Thanks for all of your input. Expect Success, Jonathan Dupree The Road Warrior Magician |
