Trick is called (self entitled) Slant of Hand (Inspiration from an effect created by Jay Sankey). Just thought I'd try a little bit of silliness as I do... and as per usual things get out of hand, I end putting on a cap, crank up some 1930's-esque tunes and chuck up a video on Youtube.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIzRmwAIvpA Yes, there are a STACK of shortcomings and I know all too well that I will recieve varying degrees of criticism. The reason I'm chucking this up here is so that people can have a look and a laugh... Nothing more. That being said, comments and CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is welcomed. Enjoy!

Hey Chappo!
I enjoyed that very much! It was a very simple & straight-forward effect...well, perhaps 'slanted' would have been a better word Good acting and overall I think it's a nice watch my friend! Keep up the good work! Stay safe buddy, Logan

Cheers for the comment mate. Slanted was the first word that came to mind, but I seem rather partial to bad puns these days.
Thanks again!

Good job mate! I enjoyed the clip. I like the fact that there are facial reactions and humor. Most videos just show dexterity and chops. Keep it up.

@Rannie: Mate... Thanks so much. That really means a lot coming from you; I've seen your stuff. You put that statement very diplomaticly... If something interesting is going in the face, there's no need for fancy hand work CHEERS!
@qureyoon: Ah... A fellow jazz buff. That is some old school hokey your hearing right there. IF you can guess where it's from I'll be impressed. CLUE: It's from a Disney Film Soundtrack. Also, thanks for the kind words. But I wish to stress that I do take pride in my idiocy. @JTSmagic: Thanks a bunch for those kind words mate. I hope I can aspire to your own caliber of magic someday Thanks for all these comments lads. I really am appreciating them.

I don't often watch unspoken card routines all the way through as they're usually not my thing, but the acting and choice of music made it an enjoyable clip. Well done.

@ Harlequin: Same here mate! (I am a hypocrite though). I'm glad that the acting and the music made the video enjoyable. I think it's the one thing it's got going for it, hence why I entitled it miscellaneous idiocy. Thanks for taking the time to read it.
Keep those comments coming guys. Everything will be replied to!

Nice mugging. It made it very entertaining to watch. My only criticism would be to have the top card change instead of going to the center to find it. Although, that didn't hinder the enjoyment of watching the effect.
Keep up the good work. Doug |

@ D Byrd: I see what you mean here. I'm fairly new to the art (only a year or two of experience, even less corporate) and I am still working on my changes. My Erdnase leaves a lot to be desired at present.
Thanks for the comment though, and I am glad you enjoyed it

Mr Chappo,
I have to tell you that this is probably the first youtube magic videos that I've really enjoyed in a very long time. Why?...It was a little playlet...true theatre. (Naturally, with work it could be polished into a thing of beauty.) From the bottom of my heart...thank you! Warm regards, Martin |

@Martin King:
WOW! That comment really made my day mate. I love my theater (musical theater even more)and I try to reflect that in my performances. The concept of comedy in magic for me is the input of your own quirkiness and unique performance style. It doesn't have to be a laugh a minute display of one-liners; all you need to be is yourself. All in all, I'm glad you recognised the aspect of theater in this little performance. And yes you are right, it is a somewhat unpolished at the moment. Probably reflects the fact that this was videoed right in the middle of a caffeine-induced stupour. Thanks again!
