Here's a video of me practicing to give you a few ideas of things to work on.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8F0E2qGBZk I would also recommend... http://www.trickswithhats.org/ I have not seen their DVD yet, but I bet it is a good one. But, in the meantime they have lots of videos of tricks to study. Good luck, Al aka Steve

Great video, Steve. I saw plenty of new things to try!
I have the trickswithhats dvd (as a download). I enjoyed it and learnt a lot. It's quite entertaining, too, you get the feeling they had quite a bit of fun making it. George |

I have Hat Juggling in Paris by Nils Pol. I can't recommend it at all. The guy can chuck his hat around but the teaching on this DVD is poor to say the least.

I always like to do the nose balance with a borrowed baseball cap, because they know that there is no gimmick involved, but I do look for a stiff one.

When I do the nose balance I say AR AR AR like a seal, and then I complain "who said throw that man a fish?"
Mike I meant to say that it works best with a firm ball cap.

I second the dvd (also downloadeble at their site) from http://www.trickswithhats.org/ (great website too!!!)
I own the video tape and it is full off hat tricks. All clearly explained and nicely shown. Very much worth the price. |
