I'm looking for a watch that breaks when you touch it.

Does anybody know if this kind of watch is sold ?

Are you thinking about having the glass break or more along the lines of just the watch band breaking?

I'm not familiar with one on the market. I would think you could make one pretty easily. Buy a cheap watch from a dollar store and toy around with ways to make it break.

I know the prop you're referring to and can't find it anywhere. It's breaks in the way a watch in a cartoon would pop open.

My advice is get a large old watch a few and set about trying to make your own. Won't be easy though.

Send a note to Doc Eason. Not sure if he was the one that carried this item some time (pun) back, but he is extremely knowledgeable and resourceful on these types of visual gags. Hi comedy air pressure gauge was a hoot.

No... check with Tim Felix.. he has the rights to this.. it is a Ben Martin invention and Tim bought the rights from Ben many years ago.. Mike Bornstein used to produce a pocket watch that popped off. I have one of these but since Mike is no longer with us.. check ebay I suppose...

Tim might be able to help connect you with one... tell him I sent you ...
