A few years ago I teased people with a lock effect using a combination lock. You can read about it here.
http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......forum=82 Or you can save yourself some time and just watch a video of me doing it at a party. It was 4am and I was gonna leave, when these 2 ladies sought me out to do one more thing. So, I decided to do the lock. http://youtube.com/watch?v=sr8cOdMzWdo The effect will be packaged with a DVD and booklet. Chad |

Enjoyed that, good performance, just felt it was a little long/drawn out. Can this be done a borrowed lock?

It looked like the lock was factory sealed to me. I think it has some good potential

Borrowed lock? No Problem!
This is an effect I have researched and performed in every venue and situation imaginable. I have tips and advice on what to do from using this as a stage effect, close-up, (ala the video) and even impromptu. Even how to use it as a publicity stunt. Chad |

I have seen Chad perform this up close. It is a very stylish effect. But what continues to bug me, I still can't tell you how he does it. It's a really nice piece of material. I can't believe he's going to let this item go.
Psychic Escape
Man has an invincible inclination to allow himself to be deceived and is, as it were, enchanted with happiness when the rhapsodist tells him epic fables as if they were true, or when the actor in the theater acts more royally than any real king. So long as it is able to deceive without injuring, that master of deception, the intellect, is free; it is released from its former slavery and celebrates its Saturnalia. It is never more luxuriant, richer, prouder, more clever and more daring. - Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche |

If you usually perform this so it is, um, interesting, then why post this video? Just some thoughts. Ben

Hey Chad, The 'boring patter' part was just put in to shorten the video. Kind of like a joke, only not as funny I guess. Its already over 6 mins. in length. I had to shorten it to keep it at a decent file size, and that seemed like the best part to cut. In a regular stage show it does take about 5 mins to perform. I know that this may seem like a long time to people with ADD, but it goes by faster than you realize, and when the lock (hopefully!) clicks open, I guarantee you will get one of the loudest responses from any of the effects in your show. Chad ps...also to answer your last part, I posted this video because at the time it was all I had of me performing it. 99% of my shows are Private functions. And you don't take cameras to them. The people who threw this party spared No Expense and hired photographers! Hence this video. |
