Years ago I had an effect called "U.F.O. Dice". It consisted of three green dice and one red. There was also a flying saucer that consisted of an identical top and bottom that the dice could fit in when the two halves were placed together. The effect was the red die was placed in the saucer then one by one the green die would vanish from your hand and join the red one in the saucer.
I haven't seen this effect for some time but was curious if it is still being produced and by whom? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tony

I don't know if it's still being made or not, but I still have the one that I purchased (along with the instructions and original packaging) many, many years ago. I recall that it was one of those "tricks of the moment" that everybody had to have, only to disappear faster than Tommy Wonder's birdcage a short time later.
I don't know if you're looking to purchase one or not, but if you are and it's no longer being made, I'll be happy to sell or trade you mine. |

Donal,
Thank you. How much do you want for it? Tony

Currently manufactured as an item called Dice Flight. I still have the original by Tricks Co.,Ltd (of Japan). The creator is Toshio Akanuma. This version seems nice, as well. I hope the current manufacturer gives the proper credit.

I had the original of this years ago. It is a good effect. Dice Flight is the very same trick but. The depth of both the top and bottom of the containers is not as deep as the original and sometimes when you replace the top if your not carefull it won't sit correctly. If I remember correctly the original U.F.O. Dice Trick did not have this problem. I could be wrong as it's been 30 years since I had the original one.

I had the original as well. I actually started doing the same effect with coins instead of dice. Same methodology and the audience seemed to like it better. I believe people are more aware of gimmicked dice than coins.

Nicc idea using coins. I have always enjoyed the comedy aspect of Marsha the red hot Martian and the use of the siren whistle for the space ship's sound. People can't help but smile when someone performs this effect.

Donal,
I would like to take a second to publicly say thank you. If you don't mind I would like to tell everyone about "pay it forward" and what you did. Just let me know. Thank you, Tony
