I seem to have this down reasonably well now. The only slightly dangerous bit (perhaps 1 'oops' in 20) is the corner change. I found that doing this on the floor / low down gives more room for masking any potential mishaps. It also (on the few times I have used it properly)seems to play stronger as a middle item / closer, as by this time the spectator's disbelief has been suspended, making it even more magical. I will continue to practice and play with the routining / handling.

As a relatively new (returning to magic after a few years away) card worker
I got this effect primarily because I've seen Joel up close. He is the house magician at the "California Magic" dinner theater. His card work is exceptional and he is patient with questions. His motions are smooth, fluid and not at all hurried. The only gripe I have for the video is - Keep the rear spot OUT of the frame! Very annoying and painful to watch at times. Now back to work! Cheers, strgzr |

Sorry it too me so long to reply.
During filming of the background interview, the cameraman had a tendency to let the rear spotlight (backfill) into the frame. Some do this in an attempt to be "artful" others do it by accident. I find this very distracting. YMMV, ;-) strgzr |

I just stumbled onto this thread and think this transpo is a fantastic idea. Easy to figure out to us but this would hurt a layman bad. I'm buying this download as soon as I get home.

My name is Sean. I am known as Magical Moon.
I am a professional close up magician based in the UK. I have seen the video demo by Joel "BeLieve" and I am ordering it but would like to know if you need a PK ring or if you need the Intercessor Metal Gimmick? – I have the Intercessor by Gaetan Bloom. This is another torn and restored card effect, but not a signed one. I do not want to purchase the same trick as you can appreciate. I was wondering if it is suitable for close-up and walk around magic? I can do double lifts, ambitious card routines etc. On a scale of one to five and one being easy, what will you rate "BeLieve?" Does it come with a deck of cards? I use Bicycle Rider Back Playing Cards. Thank you for your advice and help. Kind regards Sean Moon Magical Moon http://www.magical-moon.com |

Nope you don't need any of that, all you need is a ungimmicked deck of cards.

Review King,
Solid idea of forcing a red or black card with the opposite color as the ripped indifferent card...I will incorporate it into my routine. Thanks! |

Anyone still preforming believe?
Worked out the method pretty quick after seeing it. Are the tips for cleaning up worth the purchase price? |

If you intend on using it, its a matter of personal ethics I guess... I bought it, I still use it from time to time - I think its one of the more interesting/unusual playing card effects you can do... if you've watched it and perform it, in my opinion you should really be buying it...
I've asked to be banned

I would say if the method isn't deceptive enough to fool a magician, then you shouldn't really be upset if someone else preforms it w/o buying it, assuming they didn't borrow a copy or obtain a pirated copy. |
