I've spoke with a few of well known, professional magicians, big names in magic and I always ask them if they are IBM members? I am always surprise to find out they do not belong to IBM.

Curious

I believe the last time anyone checked it was about 25% pros and the rest other catagories (hobbyists, dealers, amatuers, spouses, others).

The numbers may have changed since then but probably not by much.

There are a few big name pros in the Las Vegas IBM group. I am not sure the number but they show up to some of our events. That is nice to see them supporting the group.

Copperfield just reached the Order of Merlin in 2007 I believe (25 years)

I know plenty of pros that are IBM members.

If he just reached it then he had to have had some down time, cause he was a teen member of Ring 200 along with me back in 1970-72. You do the math. I was away for some years and just rejoined back in 01. Oh if I had only stayed in...it would be 38 years.
