Hello All,
I am thinking about getting a wand for my chop cup routine, but really know nothing about wands. I think I would like some sort of a "chop wand" or something like that. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! Adam |

What do you mean? A gaffed wand? Or just a style? Any stick will do.

I'd like a wand with a magnet in a tip maybe, I really don't know about the options and what is out there. As of now I do just use a homemade wand from a wooden dowel and paint, but I would like something a little more professional and if it had some magnet capabilities, it would be very nice.

...And you won't find a better wand at that price anywhere. They do beautiful work.

After much soul searching about a signature, I decided not to have one.

I'm sure they are fine, however for a chop cup type routine the "work" in the TIPS doesn't do it. You need two gaffs about 1/3 of the way from each end (two so you don't have to wonder which end is hot). That way the hand position and the pulling power is in a natural position. See "Cocktail Surprise" at http://www.porperoriginal.com for the best version.

A Sharpie always makes for a good wand.

Get a hollow aluminum tube and stuff a cylindrical rare earth magnet in the middle. That's what I started with. My kit comes with a chop wand but to be honest this method gives you a better wand.

I really like the size of wand that Andy put out with his cups. I still use this wand for my kid shows. The floating gag is great for a bit of awe and laughter.
Andy, I just scoured your site. Looks great man! Love the pants!!! |

Andycomic,
Is it possible to pay by paypal for the products (I love the clothing!) on your site? I hope so! Esther |
