My 6 year old son has a school project to do with a winter/ice/snow theme (I know that spring is already here, but there is still a lot of snow on the ground in these parts!). I suggested that he do a small demonstration of easy tricks using ice or a winter theme.
Any suggestions? I know I should have thought of this before volunteering.
I was thinking of the old trick of picking up an ice cube with a string (and some salt). I was also hoping to get some 'snow powder' from my local magic dealer, but he is not so local and I will not have a chance to drop by before my son's project is due.
Anyone else know of any easy tricks or science-type projects to do with snow/ice/winter?
Thanks for your help.

Try Instasnow. You can get it from the Magic Smith Smile

I rather like the "watch the magician drive to Florida" trick.
But, then, Gary, as a fellow Canadian, it HAS been a long winter! <G>

Try changing water into ice magically. This trick is simple to do and is explained here:

Good luck.
