Rev Bill,
As an old university marketing professor and a magician of nearly 50 years who also lectures and, like all lecturers who make a living, depend more on BOR sales than lecture fees, I am going to make a recommendation that will not be popular. Forget books written by magicians about BOR sales. Go to the pros just like you would for legal, medical or real estate advice. Go to graduate level (like real MBAs use) books and experts. This area is hardly unique to magicians. The specific topic is POS (Point of Sale). Don't confuse "selling" with "Marketing". Take care of the customers. The rest follows. Congregational care is no different for magicians! LOL Good Luck! Content is not the MAIN Thing. |
