Bob's was a BLAST!!!!

I didn't get a chance to talk with everyone I wanted to {Sorry AL Maybe I'll be able to grab your Rubber band Mini-Lecture next time}. But the people that I did were a fountain of advice, jokes, stories and just plan fun.

Billy MacDonald was utterly amazing; I wanted to cry at some of the color changes he was performing, beautiful, utterly beautiful. That man has Da Vinci’s hands, artistry in the form of a deck of cards.

There is nothing finer than hanging with the Greats, Near Greats, and those of us who are not so great. Everyone was laughing and having a good old time.

And as far as Dorothy goes, I am younger than most of you and I’ll tell you this, Class Never Gets Old…

Till next time people

No doubt about it - great convention with a lot of great people. Nice getting to hang with you Pepka. On a side note - Andy Dallas had a great zombie routine ( and I thought I would be tired of the seeing the effect - this was excellent Smile

Hey guys,

It was indeed a great convention and I had so much fun as always meeting some of you and hanging with oldfriends and new ones. I must apologize for not getting a chance totalk and meet you all. My wife and I had a very late show Saturday night for the USO and I was on the road for 6 hours. I did not get home till 12:30 in the morning. Basically I was dragging when I got to Bob's. hehe

I still had a great time and was very pleased to see so many of you there and so many people at the June convention. Usually the June one is the one that gets the least turn out of the 2 each year.

It was great seeing Al doing is Boomerang Rubberband. I had never seen it before and it was very cool. Had a great littlecrowd watching at the time. Nice stuff Al.

Pepka: Great seeing your card stuff you were doing at one of the tables. I was watching from the side and really good stuff. You certainly show that you enjoy doing what you do my friend.

Den: Great hanging and talking with you my friend. Thanks also for joining us for dinner. That was really fun and we had a great time chatting.

In regards to the show, Mike always does the best job he can with the budget he is given. It was a nice show and I really enjoyed Forrest Chapman's (Peter Pitchford's new act.I have talked with Forrest many times about creativity and it was great seeing how far this act has come.

Andy I was very surprised about. I had never seen him work before and his acts and routines are so "poetic". Very original thinking and the music was part of that manipulation. Very beautifully done.

So are any of you going to be in Louisville this year?

Guys
I am not a rubber band trick inventor. All of my tricks I learned from Dan Harlan, Joe Reinfleisch, Michael Ammar, Alan Wong, Vince Mendoza, and my godfather Vinny Marini they are all comercially availible, except for the boomerang which is an oral tradition that I learned from a retired magician from Knoxville, Tn. named Don Cox. I am only their student.

Dave has been my boss here at the Café for several years, it was my pleasure to meet him Sunday, and I look forward to some day shaking hands with both Bob, and Steve too.

Great Job with the camera Dennis. It was a great idea that you were seated this time- during the lecture you were not in the way at all.

Yeah Justin

It’s always a pleasure to hang with such a great magician, as well as a friend. You of course know you have a standing invitation when you’re in the Harrisburg area.

I still owe you one for keeping DG a secret, even after our discussion at Appleby’s. Vengeance will be mine {Evil Grin}.

It’s always a treat, looking forward to seeing you again. Kutztown Maybe?
