Hey I'm a new comer to magic. I enjioyed it when I was younger and in las vegas but lately (14 years later)i have been back into it. I own royal road to card magic 5 dvd set and I am just focusing on that because ive noticed there is so much that focusing on one thing only is the right way to go about learning. I am looking forward to using this site and forums to better my knowledge of magic and share and be directed as to the right things to learn and study. anyways wanted to say hello to you all. hope to learn from ya soon.

Ive seem to have noticed that oz born to perform and dvd's like that look better and more flashy on camera then tricks in royal road to card magic but the tricks and techniques in royal road to card magic are much better for a beginner. does that sound right??

Exactly. You are much better off sticking with simple handlings if you are new to the art. Once you have handlings down, your 'flashier' tricks will become all the more seamless. Smile

The 1st & the 2nd are practice... And the 3rd one is practice again

Welcome to the group. I started out with simple tricks, and worked my way through the Tarbell series. There are lots of roads, and you will likely find yours. Enjoy!
Here's hoping everything you do hits the BULLSEYE!
