Hey there every one. I finally remembered my company email address and was able to get on here. I'm stoaked.
I've been practicing magic for the last year or so, and in the last few months started pushing myself professionally. Small gigs and working on the resturant scene. Cards are my calling. Steve Forte, Ricky Jay, Bill Malone, Michael Ammar, are some of the card handlers that I aspire to be like. I live in North Carolina, and visit Los Angeles every few months. I plan on auditioning for the Magic Castle on my next visit. So if anyone has any tips performance wise, please don't hold back.
Thanks for having me.

How do you get a magician to show you 100 tricks?
Ask him to show you one!

Man! These new arrivals are really impressing me. I figured it'd be a bunch of wannabes (like me), but there are some true professionals joining up. That's awesome. Perhaps tapping the knowledge of guys like the OP will have me working towards paying gigs someday. Glad to have you shortdog. BTW, are you Army? I notice your location is Ft. Bragg. Smile

I would not consider myself a professional magician by any means.
And yes, I'm Army. 4 years in.

Good to see a fellow magician in the forces. Though I am currently GRES in the Australian Defence Force, I am thoroughly enjoying the experience. 2 years in. Smile

Welcome!

Well, you've definitely got me on magic experience. I, however, have you on Active Duty time. Smile I just got out of the Navy after nine years and I served with lots of great soldiers @ Joint Task Force Bravo in Honduras. I hope to see you around the Café more in the future. Stay safe!

Welcome Frenzy @ BCS, as a former Magic Dealer let me say, dealers love you guys. At 6-8 you bought all our whoopie cushions, itching powder, fake doggie doo and stink perfume.8-12 you bought every self working trick we had. 12-15 you started into sleight of hand, 15 on you discovered girls and we never saw you again until you were in your mid 30's.It is an amazing cycle! Hope you enjoy your times here. There are some great magicians in the Magic Café'
