I am interested in adding a CSB routine to my repertoire.
I would appreciate some recommendations for good CSB routines, NOT for 2 silver 1 copper. I have heard good things about Cody Fisher's routine. What are some others?

Hi,
As you stated, my favorite C/S/B routine is Cody Fisher's routine. It adds elements of Jim Lewis and other coin guy's that I can't remember at this time, put's it all in a neat little package and smokes lay people. I've got the Lassen C/S/B Walking Liberty set (with extra coins) and I use a little Himber wallet that I purchased with Porper's Poker Chip Surprise, for the finish, instead of a coin purse. Dan Watkins has a cool routine on Coin Man Walking and don't forget about Doc Eason, (sic) which can be found on the Worlds Greatest Magic, Gaffed Coins, I believe, with a couple of other variations by other performers. My memory, as you can tell, is shot. Jim |

This was just discussed a couple of days ago in one of these forums. CSB 2C1S are pretty much the same gimmick and routines are good for either.

I have 2 handleings In My Sound routines Book! ( That's the book on the rattle gimmick! But You can use then with out it. You just don't get the sound sell!)
In the 1St. routine all the coins vanish at the end! And in the 2 TH. Routine all 3 coins change at the end! |

Tom G,
I beg to differ. They are not " pretty much the same gimmick". And what makes you think I check "one of these forums"? And what makes you think " the same gimmick and routines are good for either"? Jim |

I have to go with Dan Watkins "CSB !@#ault"! I have only had great results using his routine. Everytime I perform it the people are dazed and amazed.....
Where I go, so do my coins.....

Jim,
Check out what David Roth says when he talks about both gimmicks.. What's the difference if two copper coins or a copper and Chinese coin nest to make a 50 cent piece? Roth mentions when Pressley Guitar changed the 2 c 1 s gimmick to a csb he made it harder for the spectator to even think there was something fishy being used with the addition of a coin with a hole in it. There probably are routines that the gimmick isn't interchangable. And there are csb sets with solid coins. As for mentioning other discussions on this board, it has been discussed a lot, especially with Bob Sheets release of his routine. You might find your answer there. Tom |

Take a look at Real World CSB by Cody Fisher. That's one of my favorites with any CSB set.

If you want a simple and easy CSB Routine I'd go with Doc Eason's routine.

I ask of the coin experts, which of these two routines plays strongly, and is short and simple....the Doc Easton routine, or the Bob Sheets routine on his new DVD's?
I picked up Cody's routine based on some suggestions on the Café, but it's a bit beyond my current coin chops. I've been doing the basic Porper "Poker Chip Surprise" for a couple of years, and want to get the same sort of reaction with coins. |

I agree with Bob, "I do not like using my pockets." That is why I like his better, no pockets are used. Another rountine without pockets is done by Gary Kurtz. He calls it "G.K. Multiple Spellbound." |

Oh, I almost forgot he also has another DVD/VHS titled "Let's Get Furious." He does a different method than the previous one I mentioned earlier. It is called "Trio in Three". That is the one I was refering to I like best with Bob Sheets using no pockets. My VHS tapes are a little dusty. LOL. He also uses playing cards with the rountine. http://www.magicproshop.com/lets-get-flu......248.html
"Trio in Three" is better than "G.K. Multiple Spellbound." |

Bob's is pretty slick and doesn't use a pocket..
have been using my pocket for 30 years and it hasn't ever been a problem. but far be it from me to dissuade someone from that thinking.. if you have a problem with the pocket.. take a look at Bob's .. that is the bomb. Doc

Dynamike, Is "Trio in Three" the same as "Trio" found in Unexplainable Acts by Kurtz?

"Trio in Three" and "Trio" are NOT the same routine. Very confusing, I know. I believe "Trio in Three" is only found on the "Let's Get Flurious" DVD/videotape.
