Travis,
I like it. I usually like to have the audience drink before my show. It always makes it more magical. Great act and well performed. Thanks for sharing. BYUDAD |

Here's what I would do to make it better..... just kidding. It looked really nice to me. I like how stylized or period it was. I hope it went well for you at the festival.

Jason,
The entire show is a turn-of-the-century period setting, though a couple of the illusions are actually contemporary (Origami and Tri-section). The audience doesn't know that, though. However, I'd argue that Tri-section fits the period perfectly, as it is an example of pure optical conjuring which was flourishing at the time.

You can't beat that Jason. I watched it again several times. I burned everything I could. It is great. Next, I paid attention to the choreography. It is splendid. Even the website looks marvelous. To pick up some business, you might want to place it on You Tube. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I echo everyone's thoughts. The costuming, music and props fit perfectly. Facial expressions and choreography drew the audience and they were on your side. (Which means they were not burning the trick...They were enjoying it with you.) Your applause cue where your assistant grabs the stick (sorry I forget what it is called)was amazing! That whole act shows what magic is all about. Great job.

Thanks for all of your kind comments, everyone.
Dynamike, Jason was being jocular with his initial comment. The routining and choreography are absolutely vital with a piece like this. You can see how we structured it to systematically pull successive rugs out from under the audience's psyche. The routine anticipates the audience's next thought each step of the way and then proceeds to dismantle that very thought until there is nothing left. And that is when the applause happens. It simply has to. It is a necessary release for the audience (laughter and applause) of the mounting sensation that occurs with each step. Origami, when presented properly, achieves this same effect. Barry, the "stick" is a conductor's baton. I appreciate the compliments to the site, but I simply cannot agree. It is a only a temp site. Very basic and being updated, slowly but surely. However, I will say that these compliments speak to the very thing that I think to be true of websites; keep them clean and simple and people will be happy with them. They don't have to be fancy and overdone, just easy to look at and navigate. User-friendly.
