Hello,
what is the best way to produce a lighterflame of your thumb repeatly and then end up clean? Is there any thumbtip around? Any lighter without sound and with retraction? Wich is the best for closeup? Thanks |

Maybe I should mention I would like something you canhandle with one hand!
I looked for this in the forum and did find invisio Torch and the portable flamethrower but both need to use 2 Hands as I read (external start of fire). Any one handed thing with retraction or so? |

Have you heard of pyrofreak 2.1. It has really good reviews. It lights flash paper. Small gimick to conceal. They had some problems with a part of the gimmick that was fragile, but now they sell refills. I don't own it, but I'm about to get it. Check it out.

Kikuchi Magic makes some good stuff which you can control with one hand and stand very close to the audience. I don't know if they make a thumb tip. You can get most of their line through Seo Magic.
I have used a special Vernets thumb tip with my candle routines which allows me to transfer a flame via my thumb to another object. |

On the Vernets tip.... I saw this one but you can not light with it so it is not what I look for.

My video catalogue for Kikuchi magic shows a self firing thumb tip. Seo Magic, a japanese importer doesn't show it on his web page (www.seomagic-usa.com) but I would call them for details (310) 324-1417. If it exists, they might be able to get it for you. Good Luck.

I just found the Kikuchi Fire Thumb Tip. Hocus Pocus has it and they also have a video showing it in use. You can light it with one hand. It sells for about $30. Like most thumb tips if you are going to use it for close up work you should repaint the thumb tip to match you own skin color.

Once I figure out the rules for marketing things here, I might be able to part with my own "Dr. Lao's thumb" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GIGkQHx-HI
It's been my fave for years, and it could be yours someday soon......

I do not think this is a marketed product and I doubt it can be just by judging it,based to its method
