TUBE...
This is GOOD... no REALLY GOOD The possibilities are endless... the power just awesome A VERY CLEVER spin on old time methods. Thanks Jason Messina for releasing this... I WILL use this for that perfect opportunity to take MY magic INTO my clients house DAYS after my show... They WILL remember me What is TUBE.. Imagine handing over a sealed prediction (to a male spectator wearing a green shirt, with dark hair and glasses), and asking them to THINK OF ANY Premiership football team (I live in the UK). Lets say they choose Blackburn FC. Now ask them to open the prediction which reads.. 'Visit my YouTube account... and here is my URL' (on the card is your URL) When they do they will find ONLY ONE video uploaded on your YouTube account and this was done by you ONE MONTH AGO (it could be six months or more) this is up to you. When they click on it they are presented with a video of you stating you had a vivid dream. So real in fact you just had to record it and post it onto YouTube. In this dream you met a A MAN WEARING A GREEN SHIRT, WITH DARK HAIR AND GLASSES. In the dream you were discussing football. HE SAID HE PLAYED FOR BLACKBURN ROVERS FC This is just the tip of the ice berg... You can predict the future, influence someones choice, you can do card tricks, book tests, psychic readings.. the list goes on. You can even do the reveal 'on the spot' if they happen to have an iPhone etc. TUBE is a manuscript which covers MANY performing situations and offers lots of praticle routines to get you started. I have NOTHING to do with the people responsible for this manuscript but I just had to let people know how just how good this is. I suggest you use it sparingly as this really is meant to be a rare demonstartion of your abilities.. It will hit them hard and they WILL remember you. Its OK....Lots of work to set up and impossible to do one effect if you have no cell phone with a friend attached to the other end

For me its not a trick I would perform often. The power is using it for the rare occasion you really wanted to hit them hard.
I like the way you can take your magic into their home or office and have the magic happen days after you last see them. This leaves a powerful and lasting impression. |

Jason Messina, somehow, came up with Tube and when I read the first paragrapch of what it was, I was speachless. I actually read it a few times because it was so incredible.
For those that are new to it, here's some more info: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......orum=218

I received TUBE last night. I think it's a great principle. While it does require a lot of setup, I think it's well worth it. I agree with Bond, that I will not use it all the time but on those occasions where I want to do something a little special. As for needing a friend with a cell phone, that's not entirely true. There are ways around that. All in all, I am happy with this purchase and can't wait to perform it.

We spend countless hours, days, years practicing and perfecting sleights in order make them presentable. Here, with maybe half a day to a day of set-up, you're ready to go for life. Find a free sunday and do the dirty work. Best effect of 2008.

When Platt speaks, I listen. He is a straight-shooter and will call crap what it is...crap. When he says this is the best of 2008...That makes me really consider this...

TDOWell, pick it up. You aren't just buying a trick but an entire system or method. I hope to give an in-depth review of this once I'm able to perform is a few times.

It is a very interesting idea which if done right it will be very strongly received. The use is limited and trying to go overboard will kill the effect. Warning, it is a booklet so you 'visual learners' who struggle comprehending the written word may be in trouble. Those of you who can read shouldn't have any problems at all.

Maybe this will be an incentive for the "visual learners" to learn how to read.
The greatest asset of the Harry Potter books was that a very large percentage of children who had never cracked a book in their lives actually started reading those books.

Are you only able to perform this with a video on YouTube?
Can any other video sharing site be used? The problem is where I am located the government has closed YouTube down and there is no access! |

Good question. There are seemingly certain attributes that youtube has that makes it unique. I can't comment w/out tipping too much but perhaps others could be used.

I guess to stay on topic I should say that this effect leaves me cold. Don't see it as much of an improvement over NW or PW or a simple f**ce. Technology is inherently suspect anyway. Then there is the disconnect between the build up and resolution. Pretty much don't like it at all. Which is a shock since many who I respect like it. Different strokes I suppose... |

LeeAlex, to answer your question, yes, you can use other video hosting websites. It is not exclusive to youtube.

I've been surprised this hasn't received more praise here. Clearly, to each their own. But I challenge anyone that owns this to do your set-up, get yourself a partner to help out, and give it a try. I don't personally find technology like youtube suspect these days. If you had a premonition for a future event and wanted to chronicle it for later viewing (which is the backstory to this effect) youtube seems to be the completely natural choice. My effect of choice for Tube remains the wallet prediction:
Hand a co-worker (who's ideally sitting at their desk in front of their computer) a piece of paper for her to hold onto. Tell her you had a vivid premonition about a month ago. After you hand them the premonition paper, ask spec. to count out how much cash they have in their wallet/purse. Tell them to check the slip which has a youtube url written on it. They go to the url to find it's a video of you telling the person that if they're watching this, you had a premonition about them. And that the person watching this will have exactly $57 on them. You are correct. I have absolutely no connection to the maker of this effect. In all honesty, I've never seen reactions like I've seen from this one.

It is a neat idea but as I said, it is very limited in use from the perspective of performance. It is more likely to be used by the casual magician.

I got the manuscript today, and all I can say is this: if you take the time to set this up, you will be greatly rewarded. It is definitely worth the effort.
The booklet is also quite well written and crystal clear. The only criticism I have of it is that I wish he had used a slightly darker typeface. That's because I have horrible vision. However, I was still able to read it without too much difficulty.

I love the idea behind this and as soon as I read it I though 'Oh why didn't I think of that'.
Great application of modern technology that could be used to secure those important performance gigs. 9/10 |
