It's only just been released. The first lot of orders apparently have been shipped. Will give my impressions when my copy arrives.

I have just received this book in the post this morning. It looks fantastic! Has great looking cover - I know you shouldn't judge any book by its cover - but it does look fabulous!

I will be reading it this weekend, and will let you know my opinions.

I've had this book for about a week and only yet
have had time to browse around in it, but I can
already now see this is something very good full
of hidden gems and ideas just waiting to be discovered,
tested and developed further.

Especially I like Sean's book test which provide you
with a way of doing a really good routine using a book
in whatever language you want.

Also I was pleased to see there was so many good effects
and ideas for Sean's Symbology deck, which in itself is
very good, but get even more better by this!

All the Best

Mine has also arrived. It is a striking cover. Good to see a hardbound book.

Looks like lots of goodies inside. There goes the weekend.

The book is fantastic. Working mentalists doing stage/parlour type shows will definitely find this book a great source of ready-to-go routines as well as new ideas that can be expanded or incorporated into existing material.

My favourite routines are "Persuasive Banknight" - a version of banknight that actually makes sense, "The Throne Room" - Sean's take on the chair routine, and "Gandmother's Purse" - mental Magic with a great plot. "The Pro-Envelope" is also a great, easy to construct utility envelope.

This book is higly recommended if you can get it, although I believe the fist printing may be almost sold out already!

Yep! It completely derailed my weekend plans! Once started, I found it hard to put down. The essays have challenged my thinking, and the routines are diabolical! I intend to perform one at a corporate engagement next week!

Wayne,

I haven't been one of those for almost ten years Smile

But you guessed my plan Smile

There's too much excellent material in MindStorms. I want to keep it for myself.

(especially the Newspaper Test)

This book is *GOLD!*, but I don't want everyone buying it. Then the tricks become devalued, and I have to find another source... I told Richard not to mention the Newspaper Test - I want to use it myself! Hopefully, this thread will only be read by people who will treat this book with the esteem and value it deserves.

I agree the newspaper test is great, but for me Persuasive Banknight is the effect I will be using most. There is just so much entertainment value that can be had from this simple idea. I have performed it several times since reading it and it really goes over well.

I understand people wanting to keep this book quiet. In today's market where you pay $25 for one rehashed trick you can buy a book like this with enough standout material in it that it works out around $10 an effect. And that doesn't take into account any of the advice and tips throughout the book. It's a bargin.

Cheers,

Nick

Sean,

I received an email from Sean and he said he should have a second run ready in ten days of so (and this email was last wendesday)..

Unfortunately this is not in by budget yet (been spending on all sorts recently including your brilliant 'Ponderings last month).. althought 'MindStorms is top of my reading list.

Sean if you get this please post your views.

Thanks

Chris,

Thanks so much for the information regarding "MindStorms" (and the kind words about "Ponderings"). I did go ahead and purchase Sean's book. I will be glad to provide a review, once I receive it and give it a proper read.

With regards,

Sean

HI Everyone

Just to clarify 3 questions raised here and in PMs.
1. I do now have plenty of books.
2. The price includes airmail anywhere in the world.
3. Only 500 will be printed and that's it.

Each book order will be accompanied by a live performance DVD of my chair routine. If you received one of the small first batch, this will be forwarded on to you along with a numbered book plate this week since I literally got the DVDs only today.

Thank you all for your kind words.

Bought it also, and need to collect my thoughts on it.

We're suppose to get a DVD with it? I didn't get one with my order... but it's a great book anyway. Loved the pineapple effect.
