I think that it's better to be safe than sorry. besides I am sure that 90 % of us know what we mean when WE use the terms... and other magicians know what they mean when THEY use the terms... the problem comes about when what they know,...does not match what we know... and we don't know that what we know is not what they know...you know?

Well, linguistically we analyze language by usage and by what is in print and therefore it has become very difficult to decide what is right and what not. The majority of people (OK that isn't an accurate figure) on public forums say "should of" and it doesn't matter how many times they use it that way it will never be right because grammar is inherent to the language, where words have no meaning other than the meaning assigned to them through usage, hence the highly debated "I literally pulled my hair out of head" example.
