Hi Indomagic,

Yes it is. Exactly like a regular fork. Each Phork unit has been also polished at least for 24hrs. If you need some pictures just email me at jay@whosmagic.com and I'll send them to you.

Best Wishes

What is the desired temperature condition(s) & reset time (Temperature to Time relation)?

Phork does look like a normal piece of cutlery. Also it behaves slightly different than other similar items available. These are two good advantages over the other similar props.

However I find (as seen in the two demo vids) that lightly (no pressure) rubbing the Phork at room temperature has no or very negligible effect on the fork. The metal is already in a ready state of bending but needs some external pressure (less or more??) so as to make it bend. If that is the case, what is wrong with using a normal cutlery available for the purpose?

For a better convincer, I would suggest that any such gimmick fork or spoon must come as a matching set (4/ 6 spoons + forks) and not just as a lone prop. This is just an opinion & a thought.

Overall the Phork looks good and very realistic. Nice prop! Smile

Hi Ustaad,

Thanks for your nice comments about Phork, and for your questions.

Temperature conditions: Start 22ºC (72ºF) / Finish 30ºC (86ºF) This means that Phork will only complete the bending if the room temperature is over 86ºF. A regular room is never over 86ºF, you can reach 86ºF outside on a hot summer day.

This means that until it reaches the last degree of end temperature, Phork will remain straight. We have tested it for hours and hours, and it wouldn't move. Also it has passed on a stress test of 500 performances and it would still work as brand new.

Regarding your comments on using regular forks to achieve what you see with Phork, that's not possible. Regular cutlery doesn't *visually* bends on the spectators hands and cannot pass from a straight position to a completly bent position only with slightly touching it like you see on Phork.

Since you speak on convincer, we have a nice routine on the instructional DVD that discards the need of having a matching normal Phork to do a switch.
And finally like you day Ustaad, it looks exactly like a real Phork. There's no differences between it and a real fork. It can be fully examined and the spectators won't find anything.

If you have any more questions feel free to ask Ustaad, I enjoy your posts quite a lot. Just email me, or PM me at any time.

And thanks for all the suggestions/ideas.

Cheers

I love buying DVD's, but don't buy many "tricks". Ustaad looks at demos and his views are not from a Magician over thinking, but as a very smart spectator looking for an explanation.

I just like the way he views things.

Very good idea Narendra! Smile

When you peform this it is usually at your home or Bar/ Restaurant. When the fork has a different design then the others people 'might' suspect something fishy. That's the other issue I had with the Keren fork, that it just didn't look like something that would be used in a restaurant, or cutlery you would buy for your dining room.

I suggest like Narendra that regular matching forks in set's of 4 or 6 are included.

Jay, why don't you ask your manufacturer if he would make some regular ones you can either include or sell seperately

Hi Silvio,

The Phork doesen't looks any different from regular cutlery, but having ungimmicked Phorks with the same design is a very nice idea. I'm going to get in contact with the manufacturer to see if it's possible to manufacture ungimmicked ones for a reasonable low price.

Thanks for all the great ideas guys!

Cheers

I'd buy this if it had several ungimmicked ones included.

Hi Algebraic,

On the DVD we have a routine where you'll learn how to place Phork amoung several regular forks, and then bend them and give them away. With this routine, you don't need to worry about switching forks, or even Phork.

Hope that helps.

If you have any questions about it, just email me at jay@whosmagic.com

Cheers

I agree this would make Phork a whole lot more desirable as a product. In fact an ongoing supply of normal matching forks for "Phork" may result in significant ongoing sales. It means we can combine this with traditional methods each enhancing the other.

Hi Al,

Thanks for your nice suggestion.

On the Phork Package it will not be possible to include an ungimmicked Phork. First because of the high costs we have to manufacture each Phork package (you wouldn't believe), and second because we have included one routine on the DVD that allows you to use Phork along with regular cutlery and then give bent forks away to your spectators!
We are going to discuss with the manufacturer, dealers and distributors the possibility of a accessory kit with ungimmicked Phork.
But we will only release it if we can find a way of release at a low/reasonable price. We will work hard to keep our purchasers happy with any accessory kit we release, like we did with Phork.

Thanks for all the ideas, questions, nice emails, and PM's, it means a lot.

Feel free to contact me anytime at jay@whosmagic.com I'll be more than happy to hear from you.

Hi Al,

You are most welcome.

I've received today two nice comments, one from Andrew Gerard and one from Paul Romhany. I guess they don't mind if I post their kind words,

"Hi Jay, This is Andrew Gerard. I wanted to say how wonderful Phork looks.... It sounds like you really did it right." - Andrew Gerard

"There are so many versions on the market of bending spoons and forks it's hard to know what to chose. Once I saw this I was blown away. While it's high ticket item I have to tell you, if you want the best bending fork on the market, this is it and worth every penny. This blows every other routine out there away. The method is fantastic and very professionally produced. Forget the rest ... get THE BEST!!!" - Paul Romhany

Paul has a great blog, with GREAT magic stuff, check it out here: http://romhanyreport.blogspot.com/

Thank you SO MUCH you guys. It means a lot to me. I'm delighted to see so many nice emails, Pm's, ideas, and comments. I wanted this product to the BEST that workers could get, thanks for your support.

Any questions about Phork, you can as always email me at jay@whosmagic.com I'll be available to answer all your questions.

Best Wishes

Yesterday, I received a very nice email from Mr. Ben Harris, I have to say that I'm very honoured. Thanks Ben:

"Absolutely brilliant. I'm now using this, with a "riveting presentation" as the
penultimate effect in my one man show: "Modern Man & X-Ray Vision."
Easy to keep set all through the show, and great trigger temperature that AT LAST
makes using this concept a reality for the working pro." - Ben Harris

Also thanks for the great ideas that people have been suggesting, they will add much more value to Phork.

Cheers
