I'm sincerely glad you guys enjoy the routine. What's on the video is an outgrowth of my original handling. For those with the notes who may be interested in some of my newer findings, PM me and I'll be happy to discuss them.
I'm very excited to announce that The New York Coin Guys were nice enough to allow my Tai Chi Penetration to be featured on their NEWEST set of DVDs on vanishes, productions and penetrations. From what I understand, Giacomo Bertini, Dan Watkins, and Marc DeSouza will also be showing some awesome magic as well. Keep your eyes peeled to http://www.newyorkcoinmagic.net for updates. While I'm plugging products, I'd also like to say to check http://www.Kozmomagic.com in the near future for a series of products I'll be releasing with Kozmo. Lots of great things in the works....

Eric after watching that routine again...you made me scramble to find your lecture notes. Most things in print don't sound as good as seeing the performance. I see you added the clever first production and final clean vanish that are not in your notes. It is brilliant.
I saw your friend Josh over the weekend in the Tropicana Casino in A.C. Great guy. Rich B. |

Hello,
Alright- I guess I'll be the cynical one again: For instance: If you purchased Oxy Clean, which I have, the opening and ending productions and vanishes are not as stated in E's video. However-He does qualify this with " it's an outgrowth of my original handling" Fair enough. My observation is this- Is it misleading for someone, to purchase Oxy Clean, where some of the best "shows" are not explained in the original lecture notes? They're basically add-ons. I'm not here to stir up trouble, nor to doubt E's integrity. Which is, of course, impeccible. It just seems to me, that if a new person to coin magic was to buy Oxy Clean, based on the video, he or she would be expecting to also learn the intro and outro sleights. Am I being too anal? Or too forward? Or do I have a point? By the way, Eric-Great routine. I like it a lot and it's very, very classy. Well done. Jim |

On 2008-06-23 18:18, jimmyj wrote: I agree and disagree with you Jim. I agree with you in the sense that perhaps the new handling SHOULD be in the original notes. Problem is, I hadn't come up with it until I hit my stride lecturing last year. So, the "meat" of the routine is consistant, just the newer material isn't in the notes. If you're interested in the newer material, don't hesitate to call or write. I will always make myself available. If someone actually wants to LEARN the routine, as opposed to simply buying a secret, here's a cool way to think of this situation. The routine as written, is a VERY clean routine and still does end clean. Sure the method described isn't as efficient as what has been shown on my newer video, but it will still fry your audiences. Once you've had an opportunity to work through that material, contact me and I'll be happy to share the newer handlings with you. You may find you like the simpler handling more to your liking. If you don't want to wait, contact me anyway, and I'll oblige. I'll level with everyone. I posted this video, as said in my original post, because people who'd seen me lecture and bought these notes couldn't remember the timing of the second production and vanish. So I posted a video so they could see the economy of motion and timing needed to effectuate those moves. I always post where in print my material may be found in case someone may be interested, but didn't intend to use this video as a ploy to sell more lecture notes.....lol If you decide you want to wait a few more months, You'll be happy to know that several outgrowths from my lecture notes, and a ton of other great material WILL be released through Kozmomagic.com Thanks you Jim for voicing your concerns and I hope I can solve this issue for you and anyone else who may be interested in the next couple of days. I've got to write this stuff up.....lol BTW, has anyone actually tried the routine for laymen yet, and if so, how's it working for you?????

I'm actually still trying to get a new rubber band on my old flipper...
But I will be working on this for sure. While I understand Jim's concerns here, I think Eric's response is more than adequate as to the matter. When you put out a routine, it happens quite often that you come up with a better way of doing it...It's happened to me a few times already and I've seen magis just simply offer any real updates on the material in new offerings, a few even make themselves honorably available to discuss updates and new handlings at no further cost. I really see no blood or foul here, and I think Eric is more of what Jim ended with in the way of being absolutely classy and of impeccable character, than what he went through first and foremost in the more critical part of his post. Anyway, E handled himself like he handles them coins --perfectly with no misdirection needed.

Is there another place this has been published? Possibly Antinomy or some other magazine? I could swear I have read it or seen it... or perhaps I am just dreaming.
Nicely done btw. Thanks for sharing the video. RevJohn |

In Antinomy #4 Flash Coins Re-Lit. As mentioned in my lecture notes, my handling of Chad Long's Flash Coins came about after coming up with this routine with the addition of flash paper.....

Hi,
Couldn't agree more with Eric and MB's responses. Guy's- Thanks for taking the time to reply and comment. It's a work in progress and a very nice one indeed. And also correct is the fact that these routines are constantly evolving therefore it's impossible to include eveything and the magi is under no obligation to provide info after the fact. A classy routine from a classy guy. Thanks again. Jim |

I can't stop watching that routine. It's really the most magical, direct, and smoothest coin routine I've EVER seen. I love how it begins and ends with nothing with the sleeves rolled up. There are NO funny movements and it has a GREAT vanish of the last coin. Really just a fantastic effect. I hope you continue to make amazing routines.
