I used Omnilope at a dinner party last night - along with my own effect "In the Mail" which uses typical window envelopes. I did both effects back to back.
"In the Mail" A window envelope (secured by a paper clip) is shown to contain 1 blue backed card. This envelope is placed in plain view and a spectator is allowed to shuffle my deck (red backed deck). After shuffling, they deal as many cards as they like into another spectator's hand. The last card delt is revealed to match the blue backed prediction. "Omnilope": "Market Forces" This routine was described on page 1. Absolutely nothing was said in reguards to the "strange nature" of the Omnilope - even though a "normal" window envelope was displayed beforehand. Bottom line, you don't bring attention to the envelope, you bring attention to the items inside it. Several spectators where far more interested in the plastic case I held my cards in than they where in the Omnilope's design.
Think inside the box. . . it's less crowded.

Is this the same envelope that Jay discusses on one of his DVDs involving a routine with various postage stamps?

Jay discusses many things on many DVDs, can you be more specific?

Looks to me like you could accomplish the same thing with an extra "back" added to an envelope. (with a window) This is pretty common knowledge. Gimmicked envelopes have been around for a long time. Im pretty sure it is not examinable (not that it needs to be). The great thing about some of the gimmicked envelopes (like Ted Lesley Teleport Envelope) is that it can be handled freely by the spectator and even examined.

No then, it's not like that. The Piatt sounds neat though.

A Piatt is a two way envelope although you could make it 4 way by sticking tow of them back to back or by using double faced cards or predictions.

Any comments as to how this compares to http://www.carlyetouch.com "the new working mentalist forcing bag". Wanting to get a forcing type gimmick such as these but can't decide which one to go with. Any thoughts? Thanks for the help in advance.

Other than the price difference, the fact that the Omnilope packs flat, and the fact that the Omnilope will fit in your pocket. . . nope no difference at all.
I would suggest Carlyle's bag for stage and parlor - where higher visibility is more important.

Doc, I like both Carlyle's idea for the forcing bag and Omnilope. I recently got Omnilope and instantly came up with two cool ideas for it.
Now I just have to play around with them. You won't be sorry if you get both ideas. Carlyle's idea is best suited if you plan to toss the bag into the audience and have them handle it completely. It's a great idea. Omnilope comes with a lot of useful ideas and subtleties so you will like the DVD and the use of the envelope. Greg

Got this today..
As usual, Jay has put together a very comprehensive DVD which explaines in great deal tips, suggestions, routines and ideas on how to use the omilope. Plus for those just getting into mentalism, Jay shares valuable tips on how best to convey your mental abilities and how and when to 'reveal' your mental impression in order to maximize the impact. A far as the omnilope goes, well it's a fantastic ulility devise which is open to many fantastic uses and is sure to pack a punch |

I ordered mine last week, still waiting for it to arrive along with three of Jays DVD's. I blame Christopher Kavanagh for posting about the sale at Sankey's site. Doesn't he know I have no will power when it comes to things like that?
I got to talk to Danica when I made my order. She is the hot lady in some of Jay's Videos on his site (e.g. Demon with a Deck II, under Comedy). So that is almost like talking to Jay, just one person removed. Pretty cool.

This is a very good production in my opinion. It is "Sankeish" just like all Jay Sankey's stuff. It's a great take on a modern classic with lots of different ideas, routines, and presentation. I have applied some of them into my works immediately. If you haven't have this, go GET IT NOW!!

More than the Omnilope (envelope), I liked the many great ideas/ tips, routines, suggestions, and presentations; all of which are very well explained & very useful. I find the DVD to be a very valuable source of information that isn't restricted to just the Omnilope (envelope) but can be put to use with other forcing props.
Good value for your money. Quote:
