Throughout the evening, volunteers from the audience will be invited on-stage to participate in the scams, and at times the entire audience will be conned. Congratualtions Todd (and company) on a resounding success at the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Fellow Café members,

I was one of the "Fortunates". I was there for the final show at the Just For Laughs Festival n Montreal last Night.

Let there be no doubt...

Hoodwinked is solid success at the end of its very first leg... and will only continue to get better.

The show was a pure joy to witness and all four world-class performers worked the room fast and furious, and to resounding laughter. We were dupped, we were swindled, we were "educated" and we were highly entertained.

Wallets , watches, ties and suspenders were all lifted rapidly and easily by the nimble trained and educated fingers of Mr. Bob Arno --the "tall Swede"... and "yes" he "is" really tal!). He was a whirlwind on the stage and amongst the audience, yet an endearing whirlwind at that.

In fact all four performers were able to endear themselves to the audience --very quickly... perhaps "too" quickly, because that's when the scamming started to happen. Banachek read thoughts at rapid pace and explained the psychology of reading minds (and bodies) then just when the audience thought they had his methods figured out, "read" them again. Richard perofrmed as if he had very normal vision, executing delicate slieghts and dealing winning hands right up til the moment it was revealed that he is legally blind --the audience was stunned and in awe at his mastery of the deck and his ability to know where all cards were at all times --without vision.

And Todd, was the ever-charming MC with the golden voice and the ever-present glint in his eye --a hukster in disguise (without the elixer!) that beguiled and pulled us (the audience) in til we knew not what to beleive and what beleive we should not believe , until it didn't matter anymore --he was going to fool us no matter what we did to avoid it.

So thank you Todd, Bob, Richard and Banachek for a wonderful and very memorable expeirience.

Your the standing ovation that the crowd gifted you with at the end of your show was well deserved.

The fact that you met with a few of the "locals" (a handful of Montreal magicians) following your late night show, to chat and receive our genuine praise (ever so humbly, I might add) was deeply appreciated and a testimony to your professionalism, humanism and, genuine care.

The four of you make for a strong team and a winning formula.

And, as we all know "the Con" is all about winning.

Wishing you much success as this show gasthers more and more publicity and more and more momentum.

With great respect and adimiration,

Jonathan

PS: Thanks too to Bob's wife, Bambi, who worked hard behind the scenes. She too was a pleasure to meet and in her own, quiet and demure way, part of this talented band of theives.

...Did I mention that this show has legs?!!!!

Best wishes to you all for a wonderful tour.
