Hello Todd. I need to increase the number of posts. At any rate, there are still a few more items, and here is one
Bongo, Ali(Introduction) The Big Book of Magic pp92-93 Little Venice, London UK Grandreams 1997

This short routine is called The Disappearing Pom Pom and uses four pompoms and three plasic or paper cups. Of interest is that Ali Bongo is the recently elected President of the UK Magic Circle.

Also of interest is that Ali Bongo is a direct lineal descendant of William Wallace AKA Braveheart.

Is this a new edition of Patrick Page's Big Book Of Magic?

"Braveheart"

How can they have the Battle of Stirling Bridge without a bridge in sight?

Great resource list. Anybody that thinks they can't find cups and balls routines is nutz....

Off topic, but Ali Bongo story. He told me during WWII, he lived SOUTH of London, they could see the German buzz bombs going over their house on the way to London. That must have been S C A R Y ....

I have six locks on my door all in a row. When I go out, I only lock every other one. I figure no matter how long somebody stands there picking the locks, they are always locking three. Elayne Boosler

A few more comments about Ali Bongo. He has written at least two other books, a Book of Magic and also Ali's Gagsterisms. I found these items from a list of essential reading compiled by Eddie and Paul Hughes of the North Wales Magic Circle. They are a very active group with a well maintained web site and are the homebase of Trevor Lewis. Bill's comments about Wallace are very relevant as that is my name.

Here also is another on

Adair, Ian Complete Guide to Conjuring pp43-47 Cranberry New Jersey A S Barnes and Co 1979 Book

There is a bit of overlap with The Magic Book edited by Lydia Darbyshire, but this one mentions that he uses the Burtini cups.

I think Ian told me that his set of Burtini cups were a special set, and may have been the last set Burtini made.

Hi guys,

Am I missing something? I can't see the list. Is there something wrong with my preferences?

Floyd, you should be able to download the file. Bill that is good confirmation that he used the Burtini cups. I should also mention that Ian is a life member of the Devon Magic Circle. One member, Ken J Whitehouse was in Melbourne last month, and we were fortunate to see him do very good balloons and also a very good Card Sharp routine.

Any thoughts on starting as a cone and ball routine using a small wizard hat, then introducing a second and finishing with a third just before producing the loads?
