Many of you from New Jersey are probably familiar with Bob Jepson. He performed magic as well as ventriloquism for kids and adults alike for many years.
Unfortunately, Bob left the magic world today after having surgery several months ago. Bob was a friend to all who knew him and was always ready to help magicians improve their art. He'll truly be missed.

Many years ago, I worked my first magic convention at the Columbus MagiFest. There was this large gentleman with a very loud jacket on, disheveled hair, and the largest shoes I had ever seen. I thought; "What in the heck is this guy going to do?"
That was my first meeting with Bob. Over the years, we worked together several times. He was always a gentleman and a consumate pro. Whether it was a recreation of the famous Bergen routine for the sawing the figure in half (for which he always gave credit to Bergen), or his little bit with a gloved figure and a disecto, he always entertained. Bob and Rosie were a bit part of our Abbott family running the Vent-A-Rama for many years. It will certainly be different without that big crazy, warm loving man around.

Bob was a true entertainer.
I always enjoyed seeing him work the magic conventions because his act was not the average kind of comedy. There was nothing funnier than watching him put his vent figure in the box and saw him in half. The lines were perfect. He will be greatly missed. Steve Hart Cape Canaveral, FL USA
