Hi All,
Can any one provide a review of Mark Southworth's "The Changer"? Here's a link if you'd like to take a look: http://hocus-pocus.com/magicshop/index.cfm?product=10357 Regards, Steve

The video flashes the method. Given that, you may be able to take a guess if this is right for you. I'm interested in learning about the quality of the gimmick and would love to read a proper review of this thing.

I agree, it's obvious from the flash in the video about the mechanics of this device, I'm interested in finding out the quality of the gimmick. A review if anyone has one? Thanks.

The video shows what it is, so why is it $50? You're paying to learn how to steal off an already extablished gimmick?

It is $50.00 dollars because of the weak dollar mainly!
It should translate at about $40.00.It does come with a dvd and I will review it as best as I can in a few days.

For $50 I definitely would like to know the quality of the gimmick first. I agree Chris, the video can't have much to offer, the workings are pretty self apparent from the trailer. I do like the effect though and might be persuaded to purchase it if I knew a little more about the gimmick.

I do not like the handling that has to be done to get ridd of the gimmick. And what does he want to do when he has to show anything with the cards? Then he really gets into trouble, or not?
I am interested in reading a review after all.

It's OK to come right out and say that this is likely as big a piece of junk as it appears.
The gimmick is a couple of pieces of cardboard and a dental dam, pretty much gives itself away just looking at it, and it winds up on top of your deck of cards at the end......for you to do ???????? with. If it was $10.00 it might be something to play around with, but at $50.00 it's got "step right up" written all over it. It's OK to say all of above, and to further understand that the possibility of it having some "secret" and "amazing" properties that can only be discovered upon purchase are ZERO! |

I have this now and I will use it!
There are shims involved as well as the 'thing' that needs to be replaced if it snaps. Not dental dam but similer. It is well made and there are two methods given on the dvd to get rid of the gimmick so as the deck can be handed out. I would agree that it works out expensive for what you get but if this is someones opener at a table and it works well for them then it becomes better value then a toy that ends up in a drawer. [or crumpled up in a rage!!] Now did anyone lose a red deck of cards? No? Blue then?
