I put some cards on to the ceiling, and I thought they would have come down by now, one outside and 2 inside. AC on the inside will explane the ones on the inside lasting longer but the one on the out side went thrue 100+ heat/cold and back.
Standard wax. Any ideas?

I've had cards last on the ceiling for as long for over 10 years. They were all inside but short of being knocked down by someone, they will stay forever I think.

Derrick is correct! Unless something unforseen occurs, they will last forever. I've been at Crystals now for just over 5 years and I prolly have well over 1000 cards on the ceiling. There are several places I've performed years ago that when I go back to eat there, I notice my cards are still on the ceiling. Fun stuff.
However...my gig at Red Robin on Thursday Nights will leave them up there for a week or two and then they get the ladder out and pull them down. Bugs the hell out of me but oh well. It's their restaurant....

Just wanted to post an update. Out of the four cards I have put up, three are down now. There's one possible still up in a parking garage, I haven't had a chance to check on that one, but the other three came down. The two inside don't really count as they were removed. THe one outside lasts a good six months before it came down, though there is a chance that one was removed as well.

I am a big fan of card on the ceiling but I will not perform it at a restaurant or banquet where people are eating due to that fact that tiny dust particles will be dislodged when the ceiling is hit and they will sprinkle down. I would not want to be eating where dust particles are falling down!
Anyone else notice this? And BTW this does happen at the best of locations not just your old dives. Jamie

I go to my local magic shop every week and there are cards on the ceiling of the shop which have been there for years!! Some have gone brown with age but that good old wax is still keeping em up there .

I stoped doing it at the one restrant because of the dust, and this was, at the time, a new place.
